And, boy do we have a story to tell about picking it up. It was one of those situations where almost every bad that could have happened, did happen. We'll type it up and share more pics this afternoon when I get home from work.

Ok, so here is the full story of how difficult it was to get my car home. The orginal plan was to meet up with the seller in Walcott, Iowa at the I-80 truck stop around 2pm eastern time. So Paul and I leave the house about 8:30 am and hit the highway around 9 am. We end up gettin to the truck stop around 1 pm and the seller had yet to leave his house so we wait. After an hour and a half I call the guy and he states that the car that was following him got a flat tire so they were going back to trailer the car to us. Finally after 4 hours at the truck stop and 20 dollars in the arcade later he calls us and offers to meet up in Iowa City which is another half hour into Iowa. So P-Dawg and I get to a gas station in Iowa City and wait another half hour until the guy finally pulls in. We test drive it and get back to do the compression test. During the compression test the end of the tester came un-screwed and was stuck in the head. So i drive the guy 20 minutes away deeper into Iowa City to a friends house for a socket and new spark plug. The guy ends up bringing one socket that doesnt fit so they have to go back and at this time its about 8 pm. They end up getting back and we finish up the transaction about 9 pm. Need less to say Paul and I were pretty upset with how late it was. So we stop off at Portage IN to get some gas, which the gas pump was the worst pump ever, and as we get back on the highway both Paul and I hit a massive pot hole doing about 70 mph. After that I see Paul in the eclipse flash his brights and pull over to the shoulder. So i pull off about 50 yards ahead of him and back up to him. As I get out Paul says he got a flat tire but when we walk up to the car it actually dented the rim. And to top it off the car has locking lug nuts and we dont have the key. So im on the phone trying to get a flat bed to us which its about 1:30 am until i finally get ahold of someone. We are stranded on the side of the highway for about 2 hours until the flat bed gets there. Its about 3 am at this time and we are finally back into MI. Once we are back into MI we pass a Berrien County Cop that follows us for about a mile on the highway and finally pulls us over. For what? For my lisence plate light being out. No ticket or warning, just a have a nice night and sent us on our way. We get to my dads house where we are storing the car for now and unload it off the trailer. Paul and I get home to Hartford about 5 am and both of us call off work the next day. So within 4 hours of owning a DSM its on a flat bed getting towed home. I have three new rims coming in so I will have 2 extras in case this happens again. Paul has better pics on his camera that i will have him post of the rim. All in all I'm happy I finally got the car home and I'm ready for summer to start driving around and going to some meets! ;D

Damn, that sounds like something that would happen to me. Glad to see you still sound positive about the car, can't wait to see it.
