Next mod on my list is Turbo Selection.
I need to pick a brand new turbo that will meet my criteria
1.) Work excellently on Pump Gas
2.) Im not so much after numbers but somewhere between 450- 500 whp wouldnt be bad ( on pump) . Im looking for something that doesn't spool too fast since im fwd but after it kicks in has to have insane high end, but I won't be going higher that 7.5K.
3.) I've researched the Pte 5031e, the fp3052 and 3065, the gt3076R. It doesnt matter if the turbo is BB or journal but it must make full boost in the mid 3's or really early 4's. I know that its hard to say because every part and tuning has a big say in this but based on others experiences.
Now im looking at the garrett 60-1
4.) Car will not see track use more than once a season. and will be street driven daily.
5.) keep in mind im t3 flanged and will be externally WG amd FWD!!!
any help or suggestions to get me out of this whole are invaluable.

I'll need all new lines with this also, can I run the 30R from the oil fliter housing still ? and will it require a restrictor ?
sorry about the noob question, I just havent been on DSMTuners in a few since it does not work from my IP, and can't search from home and that's the only place I have net access since im out for the summer from school.

You can run it from the filter housing, by using FP's inline filter/restrictor unit. The Garretts DBB turbo's run much lower oil pressure than a standard bearing turbo or even my turbonetics cermanic ball bearing for that matter.

I agree. The 30r would be a really good choice.

The GT35R/GTK550 wouldn't be a bad option either. And it would leave you room to grow. A fair warning: With 400+ WHP, be prepared to crave AWD.

lol crave is my middle name. I've always wanted awd but its not in the cards at the moment. A gt35R huh? I'll have to take a look at the specs again and do some more research, but 30R looks to be more my cup of tea at the moment. I don't want to be in vacuum until 5 K lol with a quick 2K of absolute terror.

To each thier own I suppose.
Im just looking for something in the middle but I won't be ready to purchase it for another month and a half or so since im putting a dance album out, and it costs a ton to finish the production up.
I really like the fp turbos except the turbine housings, bah! Is the fp3052 and the 30R pretty much the same, don't they use the same CHRA center section ?

And yes I believe the gt3076 (not sure on that 76 part) is the same as the fp3052.

The gt3076 comes in the t3 foot print.
