car's lookin good man. i've heard and seen plenty of crazy stories from cheap filters like frams and the like. i've only run motorcraft or oem mitsu and definitely only oem mitsu on the evo. i wanna say mz691106 but dont quote me on it. the purolator pureone filters are ok apparently too.

I have only ever ran Wix filters from napa on mine. I work there so they are cheap, and from that review it looks like he thought they were pretty good. I am Anti Autozone only because i work at napa, so i try to keep my opinions to myself. they are quite onesided. lol but its true, i have read stories about fram filters doing horrible things. hell when i bought my car it had one on it, so i changed it that week.

Well a little update, car has been running a bit now, seen some street driving at about 8psi untunned. I need to have a downpipe fabbed and dump tube for the w/g then I can throw the wide band on I have sitting around and start tunning this thing. The car was suppsoto go in for the downpipe work last week butttt the crankshaft positioning sensor gave out on me. I'm thinking the reason is from the old trigger plate being bent and hitting the sensor. This will hopfulllly explain my hot start problems I've been having a week or two prior to the sensor failure. Plans are to say the hell with this 7bolt crank positioning sensor shit and install a 1g CAS in place of the stock 2gb CAS.
If I do this, does anyone know how the DSMLink will react with the 1g CAS? Link is set on the inverted sensor setting since it's a 2gb, will I just need to stick with the inverted setting? lol We'll see how it all goes, I jsut cannot wait to get this problem solved and get this damn downpipe fabbed up and start muh tooonning. Also I've been thinking about going e85, not sure if a single walbro 255 hp (rewired) will be enough though. Looking for about 28psi on street if I do go e85.
