Hey everyone!!! Our June meet will be a Swap Meet, held at John Feek's place in Leonidas Michigan. It'll be an all day meet starting at Noon on Saturday June 21st. Bring any parts you have been looking to get rid of, maybe some other DSMer would like to take them off of your hands! John has been generous enough to host this, so feel free to bring your own beverages and maybe a bag of chips or something to throw on a grill. Any small projects you have been meaning to get done, but need help? Bring the parts and the tools, we'll see what we can do!! This should be a blast, so I'm hoping everyone can make it. Any questions regarding this meet, post in this thread and we'll answer as best/fast as we can!
Again:
John Feek's place on Saturday, June 21st @12:00Noon 53730 Olney Road Leonidas, MI 49066

The hydraulic lift will be available on a first come first serve basis. Powder coating, Tig welding, machining, etc may be possible as well, so bring any small projects and we can take care of them. There will be Video games on the big screen and free highspeed Wi-Fi. There should be plenty of room for the swap meet so bring your extra parts for sale. I'll be providing and grilling hamburgers and hot dogs.... we could use buns, chips, pop, etc, anything will be greatly appreciated...Bonfire will be going as nighfall approaches. Hope to see you all there :-)

It just seems that powder would be the better choice because of the location of the pan.

I'm gonna 'try' to have your 1g done by then as well [crosses fingers] Yeah, oven is big enough, I've done them before, just let me know what color and what finish you want so I can get the PC ordered I've done several sets of 17" rims so the Oil pan should be cool. If you want and have time, if you can clean, lightly sand, and prep it a little before you get here that would make it quick and easy. Sorry, no PS3 .... Old School Xbox and Wii

Doesn't an oil pan fit in the oven that we gave you?

Okay!! This sounds like it's evolving into an awesome meet!!! With as many people as it is sounding like, we really need help with food. John is awesome enough to host it, so let's pick up the slack with the edibles. John is providing grilling stuff, utensils, plates, etc.
Below is a list of things that we could definitely use!!
Ideas for things to bring:
1. Soda - we have a member bringing some already, however, you can never have too much on days like this!! If you are looking for beer, that is a BYOB.
2. Desserts - cookies, brownies, etc.
3. Marshmallows, chocolate, graham crackers, etc. for the bonfire.
4. Chips, chips, pretzels, and more chips!!! Again, we have some members already volunteering, but you can neeever have too much in the way of snack food!
5. Hotdog and Hamburger buns....THESE WE NEED!!!!
6. Ketchup, mustard, condiments, etc.
7. Any potluck style food that you want!!

Since many of you have been mentioning powder coating, please get your reservation in now. I am planning on ordering powder coat from my supplier on Monday. I can get just about any color under the sun.
The powder coater will be running all day, so make your plans now. I will only charge for my cost of the powder, 7-10 dollars will PC an oil pan, now is your chance to get those items coated. Donations are always accepted ;D
Only stipulation is....I ask that you pre-prep any parts you want coated, they must be lightly sanded and clean, and please tell me early what colors you need so I can get them here in time. Hope to see you all there.
John
