Oh great, now I have RWD competition :-p. Are you part of the RWD 4G63 forums? I love those 16v Benzos. You have a taste for rare vehicles just like me . Thanks Man, I have 2 190e 16v's 1986 and a 1987 And the project car is a regular 88 190e but all the chassis are the same, just drivetrain and body kit diffrences..... So that Why I'm doing it to the 88 so I don't ruin the nice 16v's.. lol Also I'm a member on projectzerog.com but not on the site you talked about.... Anyways You will probably win in a competion...... Ill have traction issues..... lol Kevin

I was actually talking about Projectzerog.com. There is a lot of good information on that site. I saw you are looking into going t56 with your car, I was considering the same thing. You'll have to let me know how that works if you end up sticking with it. Just don't go auto, that is too boring.

i practically studied that site (projectzerog) back when i used to own a 4cyl sonoma. i came really close to buying an engine to throw it in there, but i couldnt find the correct rwd trans for it i almost want to try to do it again, but that wont be for a while. best of luck to your project however, i cant wait to see how this turns out!

Whats going on Caboose?! Glad to see you on the site homie. It's been awhile since I've seen you. I think I was still rocking the cavalier last time we hung out. Good luck with the project man. Keep us posted!

If I don't go with the t56, then I will be throwing in the r154. I just would love to have an indestructable 6 speed in my car. I don't even think Bill is done with the housing for that trans yet though.
And as far as oil pan, I am still researching what I will do. My project is still at least a year from seeing anything 4G63, but that is a big concern. I did talk with a guy at the DSM Shootout with an '80s Challenger (same platform as a Conquest) and he DD's his car with a stock oil pan and he runs his thermostat housing off the front of the head. I think I might just add some baffling to the oil pan and stick with a rear-mounted thermostat housing. I guess we'll see with time. I can't wait to see some of your ideas for your swap.

I don't know how the guy with the '81 Challenger would get away with using the the stock oil pan. I know I wouldn't feel comfortable with a front sump. Afterall, it's not that much more work to weld up a new pan and pick-up. Hell, I'm sure Hanhardt will be making one for his RWD project - it probably wouldn't take much convincing to get him to do an extra when the time comes. Here's an example of a simple homemade RWD pan from a Tuners member: Tools Required: Drill Press Jig Saw Welder Ruler
