Brian, I think they should remove that bar and do it like this. This should clear the master cylinder and intake manifold.

looks like things are coming along nicely, this is gonna be nuts when it's done.

Any recommendations on what to do for fuel pumps? We don't think a mechanical setup will clear the hood now.
I've looked at the weldons and the only one rated for 90psi or higher only flows 366lph at 90psi. My current dual walbro is 440lph per AMS test.
Magnafuel pumps don't even show a flow chart and I've heard some failure issues with them.
I'm estimating I'll need anywhere from 700-850 lph with methanol. I'm leaning toward 3 bosch 044 pumps and that should get me there If AMS bench tests are right.

I thought you were setiing it up for E85?
What about running four 044 pumps? 2 sets of series pumps, ran in parallel. That should pump a metric fuckton of fuel. I'm pretty sure Tim Zimmer has his 2G set-up like that right now.

Paul have you seen the AMS test?
4 in parallel would flow like mad even at 100psi. A single pump at 50psi flows 299lph. At 100psi , 271lph.
You'll probably get 600lph out of them the way you mentioned as each pump would be working against half rail pressure ie 50psi instead of 100psi.
4 in parallel should do 1084lph. Thats 4.7gpm which is close to the waterman/aeromotive mechanicals.
I'll run E85 but later move on to methanol to get more power.

Can't you drive the mechanical pump off of a fluidamper? I have seen it done that way once before. It has 3 bolt holes on it so you should be able to bolt something to it.

Thats a good question. Any links? Keep in mind the rack is right there in front of the dampener and it would be spinning the pump 2x faster.

If the picture in the link is correct (which I think it is) I think you can either use the 3 threaded holes (usually for a degree wheel) or you can use longer bolts for the six bolts. www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=19827&cat=1131&page=29Also here is a 300zx ati pulley. www.horsepowerparts.com/index.php?content_id=175&product_id=54I did just look at your pics and you are really limited on room, so all of this might not work. Its just an option I thought I would suggest. You could also just do a 1:1 pulley and mount the pump lower. If it were me, 1 mechanical pump seems like a better choice than 4 electronic fuel pumps. The amount of monitoring involved with keeping up with 4 different pumps seems like a lot of work.

A few new pictures. The billet wheel GTX4202R with Tial turbine housing. I want this turbo to have my kids. ;D Custom rear-sump aluminum pan (still need to weld on the drain plug, turbo drain, and bung for the Lokar dipstick). Kevin built this. Capacity is unknown, but it turned out damn nice. And this is what we came up with for mounting the electric water pump. It's a Meziere pump and Afco Scirocco radiator. I'll get some better pictures of this once we plumb it in the car. We built a jig last night to locate the collector for the header build. I'll probably get started on it tomorrow. More pics coming soon.

Sneak peek of the header build. I'm waiting on a couple more bends to show up in the mail to finish the #1 runner. They probably won't be here until Monday because of the holiday. I'll have it ready for a test fitting by sometime next week.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember you saying that Lane now sells sch 10, and 40 for stuff like this?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I remember you saying that Lane now sells sch 10, and 40 for stuff like this? Yeah, we stock 1.5" sch-10 stuff at Lane now. And I have a new found respect for fabricators that crank out several manifolds per week. This is tedious work. It takes some serious time to reshape these pipes and change angles.
