Hmmm. My car is ready to rock. I just painted the cage, floor, trunk area green. To "try" to match the outside. The car looks 20x better. I welded in a new seat mount setup so the thing is off the floor now. It sits way more comfortable for me . It's a 1" in 1/2' back ,1/4 lower,1/4in more upright. Aaron how tall are you? ;D I'm going to be out of town most of the day but if you and TJ wanted you guys could come down and see if you could/wanted to drive it. Give me a call today. Wow, thanks a bunch for the offer. I really do appricate it. But like TJ said, I dont think I could feel comfortable driving a car that isnt mine. First, I have never driven a car with that kinda power. even if you did turn it way down, its still going to be faster then what i'm use to. Second, I have never driven a car on slicks, so launching it is out of the question. and third.. I would never forgive myself if something happened to your car. You have way to much invested in that project for me to go blow shit up or crash it. And I'm not confident in my driving abilities to take you up on that offer. I've pretty much givin up on the idea of running this weekend. I'm just going to go on saturday and enjoy myself. I was all about running, but now that my car is down I'm over it. I just need to focus on getting it back on the road as soon as possible. But, really.. Thanks again for the offer.

You should give it a test drive before you rule it out. I would love to see angelo's car there competing.
By the way, how well did the new cams and port work improve things?

Thats cool Aaron I can totaly understand. Luke doesn't want to drive it either after racing it a couple times. I run out of cash for new cams so I'm still using your old comp cams. The head work and porting netted 136.9mph at 29psi short shifting so far. I'm hoping for mid 140's at 35 psi reving it out. The powerband seems to pickup real hard from 7-9k from last year.

Saw a few dsm's there. A 2ga talon, 2gb eclipse and a 1g something. All of which ran 12's or less. Nice runs if those were anybody on here.

That was a fun event. Two very long days. The first day we sat on the back of one of the McDonald's towing flat beds in camping chairs right behind the burnout box. We had great seats in the stands the second day. The host of the show is actually pretty cool. He is better in person than on the show. So so many 10 sec cars.

Who ended up taking it home? I know it came down to the mustang and nova i believe. Just wondering who won. I also saw a rwd talon, that was pretty cool, he said he has gone 9.8 seconds but, I didn't seem him run all day, so I don't know if that was for sure.

That was our slow car, 12.0, 12.0, and a 11.85 with a 1.65 60' I was happy with that. After the 11.85 run, the speed crew came over to interview. All they were interested in was the domestic v import issues. I had the pro tree figured out with her car, I was cutting < .1 lights at the end. But first time with the hand drop sucked. He normally holds his hands up a second or 2 then drops. Not for me. He was coming down before he got his hands all the way up! I needed to build some boost at the line and didn't get it.

Good pictures. The red rwd 1g is Scott Glassbrook from Detroit. The car has went 9's at low-low boost last year. The car is cert'ed to 8.50's but Scott doesn't have his 9.90 or faster license yet. So he was forced to run 10.00 or slower over the weekend. Thats what Luke told me after talking to him.

Damn that mopar! (3rd pic) He got me by .06 and I was 8mph faster... I wanted a rematch... Should've launched it better. (story of the whole weekend) pro-tree sux.
