In retrospect - I'm willing to bet it's just CF wrapped aluminum piping. Just like the compressor cover. Yea, thats pretty much what I planned on doing. That composit stuff looks like alot of work. I may give it a try though. How long does it take him to make these?

I may give it a try though. How long does it take him to make these? He's working a bit slow right now, becuae he's still recovering from a pretty bad motorcycle accident. He told me he's still trying to get his skills back. But, it takes him like a week or so. Working with carbon fiber doesn't seem to be much more different than fiberglass, except that you have to show some care to make sure the weave is uniform throughout. Other than that, it's alot like fiberglass. It's one of those things that you get better at with every project.

That pipe is sweet Paul. I found a carbon/fiberglass hybrid in a sweet green and black that I want to use on my car.
I'm mocking up a rear undertray to get some better aero and protect the fuel cell. You can get pre-made panels but I don't know if that would be easier or not.

Post up some pictures when you finish that undertray, Angelo.
I've been kicking around the idea of doing a rear undertray on my 2G for a couple years now. And I definitely plan to do a full undertray on my 1G.
