Kicker 8". Smallest sub I've ever bought. This replaced my blown factory sub in my Suburban.

Decided to get some snow tires this year for the Outback. It did great last winter with some used Hankook Mileage Plus all season tires and the AWD system. But there were times the front would wanna push in corners and they just didn't feel planted. Not to mention they look like they have been on the car for a while. They came with the car when I bought it. I found a set of Firestone Winterforce tires used on craigslist for 200 bucks. They were new last November and ran until March. Either way, they were a little over 400 new so I figured it was a good buy. Two of the tires were a little more worn then the others because they were on the front of a FWD car. I figure I'll put the good ones up front on mine and by the end of winter they should be nice and even. I cant wait until I can put them on. I figure around mid November should be good. Most sites you read recommend putting them on once the temp is around 45 and below. You better bet the first snow we get I'll be out driving around. That thing should be a tank!

Nothing better! My family owns a tire shop, those things FLY off the racks! That being said, I too picked up a set of 4 winterforces yesterday. lol

Bought some new rubber for the truck today. I carefully landed on Yokohama Geolander A/T-S tires.

I have those. I really like them. They look aggressive and are great on and off road.

D, did you always have these tires, or did you switch to them from something else? My only concern was losing some fuel ecomony because these are an more aggressive off-road-type tire and not a "low rolling resistance" type tire. Did these affect your MPGs at all? My truck rides and turns so much better with these. I love them so far. I'm looking forward to the first really nasty snow storm. Gonna do some off-roading and see how the do.

I had the stock Bridgestone Dueler H/T tires on there before. I didn't like them but they were also near the edge of their life. As far as fuel economy I never pay much attention. Its a truck, I don't drive it for the MPGs. My little computes says I average 15ish. My tires are larger than stock and the computer was not calibrated. The are awesome in the mud, snow, and sand. I think you will be very happy.
