Nice buy. I had been considering trading my 1G for this car, but just noticed that he sold it this past week. Gorgeous car. Good luck with the build. And if this car ever becomes for sale, get ahold of me first. Ohh, and welcome to WMDSM.

Welcome Dave, I'm in Holland too it you ever need a hand, or parts Not really a vr4 guy since I've never owned one, but I've wrenched on a few, and hope to add one to my collection fairly soon. Nice to see another dsmer in the Holland area. -AJ-

Pat - You're probably thinking of a different car. This one was from Traverse City before this week, and it hasn't ran in a while. No engine or tranny.

No engine or tranny. he is correct it was only driven aroud the block 1 time in michigan. and that was in travers. i picked this thing up last saturday. im excited espically for what i got it for. i got it on trade didn't buy the car outright. starting to gather parts. anyone have a line on a cheap 1g 3 inch exhaust? just paid for a safc2 today. hoping to get the swap next week sometime.

a 1g exhaust will have to be lengthened along the mid section and also maybe slightly modified at the rear section depending on the design in order to work on a galant. cheapest way is to buy a downpipe and have a reputable exhaust shop or somebody fab up the rest. also your best resource for parts and info will be galantvr4.org. good group of guys on there.

I've got a Magniflow on mine, can't remember a part number or anything, but I like the sound of it. But it's still a 3in system, so no matter what muffler you put on it's going to be noticeable, I've got a muffler, resonator, and cat, still noisy.

I had a Magnaflow 3" race core muffler on mine and loved it, it was loudish, but you couldn't hear it in the car over my external dump.

i think a megan racing would sound good i love the way it sounds on the 96 we have and we never put the silencer in and have yet to get pulled over for loud exhaust...
