well, I've got about 300 miles on the new setup. after changing one alternator that failed, the one i bought didnt work, i changed that, since then eveything has been good, car runs awesome! I'll try to get some finished pics up later today. well in its first 300 miles its seen 31 psi peak 45.5 lbs/min airflow and 8000 rpm! yeah ive been beatin the hell out of it! I ran the spectator drags with it yesterday at kalamazoo speedway, end up getting second, but it wasnt due to a power issue, the thing had a major push, so i got passed in turns 3 and 4.. had every car by 2 lengths goin into turn one though!... the tune is close but not perfect, afr stays right around 12:1, havent seen any knock yet, but i havent added any timing either. peak airflow has been 45.2 lbs/min with 21.1 psi @ 7470 and 13.8* timing.. the target afr and accual afr were both 12.3 at this point.. ais temps arent as good as i had planned, but i have been using straight water, and havent used any ice yet.. i beleve the ic core may be to small, but i need to look into that more. all this is still on 93, so with some race gas,ice and timing, should put down so fairly good numbers. another thing i'm still trying to due is get the boost to hold 25psi to 7500, if i can get that to happen airflow should pick up a bit.. all in all i'm really happy with how it came out, i do plan on making it to a tnt at some point this year, but i'd like to get the tune more aggressive nd some race gas, so i can go once and lay down somthing impressive, or at least have a good shot at it... btw 70 to 90 time have been 2.0 to 2.1, and i got 18 MPG while beating the piss out of it!!

Well, after a few months i finally got 2nd gear back... ended up buying a 2g trans from Tom, have to adjust the cables yet, but all seems well with it.. while i was in there i put a hx35 accuator on it, havent had anytime to tune the boost control yet, but hopfully it will hold 28psi all the way to 7500.. I'm planing on putting a better water pump for the intercooler on this weekend.. At that point ill be ready to start tuning more agressively, should be interesting.. On anther note i've put 3200 miles on it, and it runs like a swis watch. planing on changing the u-joints and carrier bearings some time in the next few weeks also.. more to come, but itll be awhile as my other projects are needing some attention..

Thought i'd give an update. The last trans i ended up getting needed more than a cable adjustment, ended up not having 3rd gear anymore. On top of that the input shaft started leaking about 3 days after i had it in there, which in turn ruined the clutch disk. On a good note, i ended up buying this trans: wishihadatalon.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=ForSale&action=display&thread=3603 which i just put in last night, along with a clutchnet 6 puck disk.. for the 30 or so miles i've put on it i'm very happy. The new gearing is awesome! The hx35 accuator rocks, I dont have a log in front of me, but it held 31 psi to around 6800 and fell to 26ish by 7800, which is leaps and bounds from what it was with the shimed stock accuator. again i dont have the logs in front of me, but with the new accuator i was able to log 50-52 lbs/min average, and yes its still the good ol 16G. Still havent gotten the new water pump on it yet, but plan to as soon as time and money allow.. I still have a rather lengthy list of things to do, but I'm slowly picking them off...

Well, i got some stuff done this week. Sunday I removed the clutch pedal assembly and welded the clutch arm back where it needs to be. and i Finally had time to build a catch can. here are some pics: I was fairky happy with how this one came out. Also turned the car down a bit, backed boost off to 20psi, and acked the limiter up to 7000. That way i can dirft through some parking lots and feel a little better about bouncing of the limiter, than when it was at 8k. Hopfully turning the boost down will hope get some milage out of it also. I know i should just keep my foot out of it, but i dont seem to be capable of that I put about 40 miles a day on it, and i get bored easy. hope you guys like the catch can!
