I see where your coming from, but there is a lot of other Fab work for the rear end and front crossmember so I'm just gonna do this at the same time. Its not even that much cash either which is my holdup right now. Should see the road before June I hope.

Oh yeah, it was already my plan to hack out and tube the lower core support already, so this won't be a ton of extra work than first planned.

ah, I guess I didn't realize you were just talking about the lower core support. I was thinking everything from the struts forward

The original plan was just the lower core support. Now because of the damage it will be a little farther back on the frame rail, but not to the strut tower. I also want to retain the upper core support for more of a factory look. Hopefully it all works out like I am imagining it in my head.

Ripped out the rear subframe the other day and mocked up my wheels. Not too much longer and fab work will start. Just waiting on taxes.

That was already a couple months ago, and now fast forward to today. I've made a little more progress on the car. Right now I am in the process of building a dolly to raise the car a little and make it easier to move around the garage. After that is completed I will be able to start cutting for the rear end and then I'll have to purchase a tubing bender. In the meantime I cleaned and reorganized my entire garage and also worked on some little projects. First up is the garage and how the car sits right now. Here is the engine bay in its current state. I'll be able to power-wash the bay and the garage floor once the dolly is complete. And lastly the project I spent a couple hours on. Removed the rear bumper support to free up some weight. Naked rear end. I then took the harness of the metal bumper and zip-tied it to the plastic cover after I drilled a couple holes through the foam. And finally it all back on the car. I know it's not too special, but I was bored and camera-happy. I still need to fab up a little something to stabilize the bottom of the cover so that it doesn't flap in the wind on the highway, but other than that I am happy with it.
