Dude, don't ruin the funny. No shit.... Anyway, apparently she's been a bitch for a few years. Dave has had issues with her in the past, and I believe I'm quoting him right, "don't spend a red cent at Arby's." The fact is, she owns an arby's next to a hotel in a town where the most major source of income is a racetrack. Are we to assume there is no similar gathering in the parking lot for muscle car events? Last year she called the police without cause and made Buschur's Shop look like jerks. For the amount of money she would make on an event like ours (They practically share parking lots!) she should be prepared for a little bit of celebrating next door. By choosing to boycott her location and being on our best behavior we are keeping the shootout alive. Plus I think Dave will get a kick out of it

Reading what Buschur said explains it a little bit, but it's kinda one of those things you have to be there and experience to understand why we feel this way.

That said I will be buying one and so will Ally. I think we should all wear them the same day to represent the club. I was thinking Saturday at Buschur's shop? This way I know that we will run across him, and see what he thinks about the shirts.

So everyone is anti arbys because??? So a manager acted in a manner to protect her business.. so what?! If there were a bunch of people in my parking lot just hanging out, drinking etc. I would call the cops too. She probably called closer to closing time because she wouldnt be there to supervise the place and didnt want to come into a vandalized building ( Not saying that would definitley happen but you never know what some dumbasses might do plus intoxicated dumbasses). Steve, it's like this. Hundreds and hundreds of people show up to a town for an event. Business booms. They sell 10 times as much food and beer than any other normal weekend. 98% of the local bussiness are happy as hell. Arbys, on the other hand, decides to call the police when they see an influx of "visitors" and money spenders. On a whim, a preminition, an uneducated guess, they decide to call the law, and report that there is a possibility that our group may be trouble. So, at that point, we become "labeled" as potential trouble, and the police show up. They see large crowds in the hotel parking lots and alcohol consumption (neither of which have anything to do with Arbys), and they start writting tickets. At that point we become the group that "arbys called the police on and we all got in trouble". This report gets back to dave, and he sees the shit as a statistic, and on paper, it looks like we're a bunch of hellians. When in all honesty, we did nothing wrong from the beginning, and Arby's call to the police was most definitely unneeded. It's shit like that that will bring the Shootout's to an end, so we have every right to not supprt the Norwalk Arby's. And like Ben said, it's something that you would have had to of been there and lived it, otherwise, it's like reading it from a newspaper. And don't get me wrong, I love eating at Arby's. It's just that the Norwalk Arby's manager has definitely shown that they are the least equipped of all restaurants in the area to deal with large crowds. This is like the 16th or 17th year in a row that not one building has been vandalized, so there's no reason for her to think that this is the year it will happen.... Every year, here in St. Joesph, they have Venetian (sp?) Festival. It draws in one million people to the beach/bluff every day for four days. And I don't see any businesses calling the police because people are hanging out and spending money. Some restaurants can deal with a crowd, and some can't. If they make us look bad because they not equipped to deal with us, then they cannot have out support.

actually paul if i remember correctly there was something about a bagage cart being ridden across the arbys parking lot and into the drivethru sign. not sure if there was any damage done but still. i talked to a few guys about it then. also there has always been the issue of people using the arbys parking lot for trailer storage which i can kind of understand but for an event weekend it's usually not such a big fuss.
but yes saturday = shirt day.

I thought the baggage cart was a 2005 event, while there was an unnecessary call made to the police in 2006. Either way we are so going to be the best dressed club there
