Get this thing rolling and bring it out to some of the michiana meets this summer Ohh, trust me - my welds are much better than the factory spot welds. looking good. how much more do you have to do to finish it up? I still need to: * Rebuild tranny * BS elim. and new timing stuff on engine * Install rear subframe. * Install engine, tranny, t-case, and driveshaft And a bunch of other little shit..... I should be done by the end of April...

You have to keep the heat low. Paul, I dig your awd conversion project man. It looks like it's turning out well. Put that welder to work. Grab a bag of big washer's and make some solid rear subframe mounts.

I'm going to install this subframe with the stock rubber mounts for now, but I have an extra AWD subframe laying around that I'll use to experiment with. I'll have to sit down and figure out the best way to build them....

Low heat and slow feed will produce a weld that will penatrate without building up on top of the metal like he has there. Regardless im sure it will work out for him i was just giving him a hard time. Thanks for the input tho

Aww, snap. Check it out fellas..... Subframe is on!!! I also ran my SS braided house from the tank up to my fuel filter that I mounted on the firewall. I also got the e-brake cables hooked back up last night. I'm going to finish reinstalling and cleaning the interior this week. Next week, I'll be taking my tranny down to Jon and I should be placing my big order with JNZ. I wont have much to do for a week or two now, though.....

Thanks for the compliments, fellas!!! Damn man. I guess that means you'll have time for some more pong in the next few weeks. Yeah, after the way I played at your house this past weekend, I need to practice. I can't believe what a one month absence did to my skills.... But, technically, Dale and I only lost our first game. ;D

project looks good so far, do you have any more pictures on the install of the rear sub frame to help me out? The subframe install is a piece of cake. I don't think I have any other pictures, but I'll have to check on my home PC. Once you get the subframe bolts in the right plcae, you just lift the subframe up with a jack and you're done. The gas tank was the biggest PITA. Are you in GR? I'd be williing to drive up there for a day and help you out (especially if you have pizza and beer). ;D How far along are you with your conversion? If you have any questions, feel free to post them up in your project thread, and I'll do my best to answer them. Or PM me and I'll give you my cell number.
