Yeah right man, I see you passing me by very quickly. My car is fast, but it has a lot of problems that I can't figure out. The car falls flat on its face at about 6900 and struggles to continue up the rpm range. If you take it too high in the r's and shift, it then spits and bogs and is all weird for a few seconds then its fine again. That and I don't reach 30 psi till about 5200-5300.

Quick update:
Well I made it back to the track this last Wednesday to see how the car would run. Made 3 passes ,the first 2 where botched no launch, slow shifts for a datalog and boost check. I lost the log twice. Last pass a taped the logger down and tried it again. My cruise switch free play at the top of the clutch was way to loose. It ended up backfiring and hesitating on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. I pile drived 4th gear and ran 130mph with only a 95 mph 1/8. at only 30psi. The car is back to normal running wise with hardly any knock in 4th. So I'm happy about that for sure. The p.o.s. needs cams and intake manni BAD. After 6500rpm it starts to fade away. You can feel it at the top of 4th big time. I don't know if I'll pick up anymore mph with more boost or what. Well just have to see. I'll be back to the track next week hopefully to go for the 10 sec passes with more boost and some serious driving. I think I can make it happen.

Well went back last friday night with crappy results. I only got 2 passes in because there was a big bike and retarded snowmobile race that weekend. The car started blowing spark out upon full boost between shifts. Had the best 60' foot of the year with a 1.67 and a 11.40 at 120. Blah! I tried some BPR8's last time out and that's when it all started. Going back to the Br8es.
I've put on a full 3'in custom exhaust that replaced the 2' 1/2 press bent I had for better highway/street tuning. God damn the car roars man! I also got the 1600's in now and running surprisingly well with gas. There so much more head room to work with now fuel and boost wise it's crazy.
Doing some back to back testing with 110sunoco vs E85 this weekend . Same timing and psi,the e85 chip just compensates for the 30% fuel. Can't wait to see how it performs.

BR8ES' FTW!! I love this plug hand down.
I didn't know you were switching to 1600's. I contemplated it, but I think I'll just jump to 1150's the next time, as I don't think I'll ever be running E85.

Will 1150's be enough for the high boost and pump gas that you run Dan? With the 650's on lead gas with the bigger turbo it was maxed out 99% DC. 720's or 850's would have given me room to be "safe" again but I would think it wouldn't be enough for pump gas. The dsmlink supports 1600's with good results.
I held on to the 1600's all summer waiting for my brother to get the rail bored out to fit them at his work on the mill. Mine are not the direct drop in's.

I'm fairly positive the 1150's will be more than enough to safely support it.
Shit man, right now on my 950's, on 32psi on pump and meth, I am seeing about 92% IDC.
While I know the 1600's are tunable in link, there are still some issues that can come up with them.
1150's are proven from FIC to have the best idle characteristics and power potential for any street dsm.

Oh yeah also an update for you on my car. My issue with the car breaking up up top if for sure spark blowout. I added new plug wires that help, and I now can take the car to 8k with out hickup on low boost (25psi and lower) haha yeah I know low boost for me is 25psi. At 31+ psi it breaks up at about 7500 but thats were I shift at anyways so I am fully happy with it.
Also I've been getting a halfway decent tune on it and I'm seeing 32psi by 4500 in 3rd, and by 41-4200 in 4th.

Here's alittle more progress. After I fully weld this up I'm going to finish the fuel system.

With April coming up fast I've devoted some time to wrap this up. I hope to have it back running in 2 weeks for sure. I'll have a new JMF intake manifold,maf-t,and wideband in the mail soon. If things go ok I'll have a set of slicks too. Here's the twin pump setup. Every season I seem to nail it on the head with my yearly predictions. This years goals are... 10.20 with street tires or 9.7's with slicks with a 140mph trap. Knockin on wood man.

That looks great! Twin Wally's FTW! How much did that fuel setup end up costing you if you don't mind me asking.
