hey, I had that same issue in my t-bird.. i took two flex plates, cut the center out of one, and welded it in the other.. been fine ever since. that car has gone 1.59 60'.. Good call. We tried stacking the flex plates but it was smashing the converter. Cut the "wings" off one and welded it to the back side. Worked straight through the night to get it done, and it runs great. HOWEVER Kassie got really sick and couldnt drive. So she didn't get to qualify for pinks!

Neither. She's on chantix to quit smoking. Its a known side effect. That and she didn't eat much the previous 2 days which has done that to her before.

Ok, over the last month has been nothing but problems. The methanol rail has cost me 2 head gaskets and a pretty bad ENGINE FIRE.
The aeromotive fuel rail is garbage. The little screw underneath that holds the mounting tab on decided to back out. The rail popped up and sprayed methanol everywhere. I spent a few days just rewiring all the carnage.
Get it back out to tune, and it's running pretty weak at 24psi. As soon as I let off, it looks like its just loading up crazy on methanol dumping it. Doesn't feel like its spraying meth under boost. And its knocking some. Meth line pressure crept up from 80 to 110psi so I wonder if it was locking up the injectors, then when letting off it just locked open?
I'm seriously considering going back to direct port nozzles. It is so much more reliable and easy to tell when its working properly. I'm sure it atomizes much better too. I have to get this thing running ASAP properly and get some clean consistent passes down the track before pinks!!!

You might as well go back to direct port meth injection. Sounds like it worked great and was much less of a headache.
Let me know what day you want to work on it this week and me and Dan will come out. Any day but Monday is good for me.

Hope to get both cars in the eliminator class. I think Kassies car has a very good chance as well. Her car is MUCH faster than it was at pinks now that we fixed some problems. The fuel filter was almost completely blocked off and it ran a 11.85!
Got mine to bury the tach yesterday for the first time ever, with 28psi. The car screams up there, its almost scary. I can't figure out why the car falls on its face and sputters when you give it gas around 2k-4k. It is pretty bad. afr is around 12-13 so I doubt its fuel related. Maybe a phasing issue with ignition or injectors?

Broke another high dollar shep t-case night b4 the shootout. That's the last of this. I'm done with trying awd. If these were cheap and easily obtained I'd try to make it work (ie keeping power off the rear wheels). But they are $2500 and 1-3 months to get them!!!
It's official: RWD setup coming soon. It's going full race and we're shooting for 2200lb curb weight. 300# less than what we're at now. Powerglide. Big tires. If budget allows, a 42r turbo or equivalent.

Sounds BA. I am a little jealous you will be finished with your RWD 4g long before me. I can't wait to see how she progresses.

Troxells should be able to narrow up the rearend that's already in there, right? Then you can just install shorter axels and you're good to go. Any idea on how wide of a rear tire you're going to run? Also, what swayed you towards a glide?
