Ok, i have heard nothing good about road race, so when my car broke down in LA California i was like ;D . Ill come back latter when i get the car back, but at this point the time that they are taking is WAYYYY too long, im sure they are busy but this is crazy.
I had given them the down payment of half the money over a month ago, and they delayed for 3 weeks (i dont have the paper with me to see exact dates, it might be longer) afterward saying parts were coming in, and now it is nearing the end of the second week since they say they started on it, and they are saying it looks like another 2 weeks, thats what they said at the beginning of last week. If they do finish when they say now the they will have taken at least 2 months
I know the car has the rust associated with a michigan car that ive driven in the winter for one year (i dont know about before i got it, but it probably was too) but everyone i know, including my uncle who is a mechanic is saying they are putting me off to get other cars done by people that are more pushy than me
im sure the work is going to be great, but just the time its taking makes me wonder if it is worth it.
by the way it is the 6-bolt swap with the original 2g head (that i just had almost completely rebuilt) with balance shafts done, 9:1 pistons, 6-bolt rods, flywheel, clutch and a bunch of other smaller stuff
let me know what you guys think, im also probably going to copy and paste this in Talk
Ill post again when its all done and broken in
