Since the Colt isn't really a year-round vehicle, I had to pick up something to drive during the off-season. This car will also serve some daily duty so that the Colt doesn't rack up a whole bunch of miles. I picked it up off Craigslist from Kzoo, it's a '94 Eclipse GS. Trans was grinding gears, brakes were shot, and a couple other odds and ends needed fixing. Here is a little list of what has been replaced so far: -OEM Clutch Master Cylinder -OEM Clutch Slave Cylinder -SS Clutch Line -Tie Rods -Fuel Filter -Front Pads & Rotors -Rear Pads & Rotors -Rear Calipers Car also has a came with a few mods, and I'm just throwing on cheap stuff that I come across. So far it has (either on the car, or waiting for spring): -Short Throw Shifter -3" SS CAI -OBX Header -Gold Package Laser wheelz -Spring Lowering Springs Dummy that I bought it from decided to shave off the factory spoiler even though it appears to the car appears to have been repainted and has NO RUST. Hopefully I get the car on the road within the next week, but I keep running into setbacks. Here are a couple pics of the beast: Wheels after I took off the silver that was painted over the sweet factory gold: And after I got off most of the gold so I can repaint them:

you're not grinding or sanding the original finish off are you? just get some aircraft grade paint stripper in the aresol can and use that. waaay easier faster and more effective. oh yeah and we need to have that paint party some time too. i'll be happy to help.

The factory finish is so thick that I had to hit it with a grinder in a few places. I wanted to take it all the way down to the aluminum, cause the factory gold was bubbling up around the center cap and peeling off. I used aircraft stripper twice on two of the wheels and the factory stuff still wouldn't come off.
