Hey everyone its my first post here. I've been having issues with boosting. I have a 97 gsx and the car has a large backfire between shifts at WOT. I've already checked all the normal stuff, boost leak, plugs, wires, fuel filter.
Anyways its cold, and I need a warm garage and someone with some knowledge of these cars. Let me know if there is anyone local in Muskegon who would be willing to help out.
Thanks

Is your BOV vented to atmosphere?

No it is not. Here is the stats of the car. Its a 2g gsx auto. Car has a fmic, with all hard pipes. No boost leak, I checked again today. I have an intake, 3' stainless exhaust the whole way from front to back. No cat.
It backfires at WOT usually when shifting. It will boost fine in first, but will backfire when shifting into 2nd. I just found today I have some shaft play on the stock T25, and found a bit of oil in the LICP. I think the turbo is blown. I have a 14b that I was planning on putting on, when get all the install parts.

Install parts? You need like t2 things, an oil line and a new return line. You can reuse the rest, oh just maybe some longer rubber hose though. I did and love my 14b.
