well, for those of you that haven't seen my awd yet, here a few pics i took today with the new rims. it hasn't seen the outside of the shop since last spring, and is now 95% done. i have a few things to do before this year, and more importantly PINKS.
1. install the new bigger and better fmic with less and cleaner piping
2. finish polishing the FD rx-7 wheels for my slicks
3. purchase slicks (26x9.5x16 Hoosier QTP's)
4. finish fab-ing the coilover steup for the front
5. get some decent time in the seat tuning
6. avoid breaking anything.
For those that don't know the history of this car, it was V8BAIT's old auto car, that i traded him some old parts for as just a shell. I swapped it to a manual, threw in my old motor with a new turbo, as well as a TRE trans, fuel cell, a new interior and some goodies
This has been running for about a month or so now, but today is literally the first time this car has moved under it's own power for almost 5 yrs. 3 of them being under my ownership.
let me know what you guys think, i know prob few will like my choice of rim color, but i like to be a little different , plus they're the only rim i could find that cleared my 3kgt 4 piston calipers with 13.1" rotors that'll be going on this winter
Jon, look close at the things that remained the same since you had it. the rear tails, and the airfreshener is about it!
in the background is another car i plan on DD'ing and using as this car's evil twin, to fool some of the locals. lol
PLEASE IGNORE HOW DUSTY IT IS, I HAVE NOT CLEANED IT SINCE EARLY LAST YEAR!
this pic was taken in late afternoon light, so the wheels look a different shade than they really are, they're actually pretty close to the gold package laser wheels. the next pic is a better example.
this is a better example of the actual color (below)
