Got a few pics of the progress so far from Tyler at Street -n- Strip. I'll post more as it finished. In the pics you can see that the exhaust seats are cut for the 1mm over valves and the bronze guides installed so far. Looking mighty tasty! Reality is setting in though and it'll take a miracle to make it to the Pinks second chance event. Work is picking up fast again and I'm still behind. Par for course.

Reality is setting in though and it'll take a miracle to make it to the Pinks second chance event. Is that due to time or money constraints? Head looks excellent, btw.

Here's the final assembly pictures. This thing turned out way better than I imagined. The quality of the polishing finish and valve work is top notch to say the least. I would highly recommend these guys for engine work. Thanks again Tyler! Paul it's more the timing of the money really. ;D I'm going to get started putting it back together now since I got this head in my hands. The only thing that'll hold me back really is the safety equipment that I'll get ordered in about 2 weeks. If I get into a bind, I'll give you guys a call for sure for some help.

So you went 1mm over on the exhaust side? Any reason? I thought the size increase there is so substantial that you could have issues with lower velocity. Shit looks good, I can't wait for you to get it back together

I assume they flowed it. Do you mind letting me know the numbers.

we didn't flow this head.. but i have another sitting here that was donated. that head will get 3 stages of port with one cyl. left stock, then flow numbers across all the different ports, that way i can give a % of flow increase over stock, and from one "stage" to the next..
as far as the 1mm over valves, they had a large impact of both intake and exhaust as far as allowing me to alter the short side radious how I liked. as far as losing velocity on the exhaust side, any time you increase the valve size, your going to have a velocity lose across the valve seat. but the added flow of the larger valve will increase accual port velocity..
