So my car isn't starting. It cranks but it wont fire. I checked my plugs and i am getting no spark. I have changed the ptu and that was not a sucess. I checked the resistance in the coil packs and it stayed at 1ohm so I am kinda leaning torward this being bad.
All problems started after I unistalled my afc2 and put in a eprom ecu. I did a test fire and it started right up. Hasn't started since.

I've got an extra 1g coil pack and resistor I can bring to the next meet if you wanna try it out to see if it helps.

Sounds like an ECU problem to me. A lot of the times especially on the 1G ECU's tend to have bad caps. Or if the EEPROM ECU is socketed the person who socketed it could have wrecked some traces. It's usually always what you installed last. Try swapping it back to your old ECU and see if it starts. Then you'll know if it is the ECU or not. I bet it is.

Also just to add if you were putting a 2G EEPROM ECU into a 97-99 car you have to swap the plug wires. swap 1 and 4 with where 2 and 3 are supposed to go. On the coil pack from left to right it is 4-1-2-3. On the valve cover from the cam gear side from right to left is 1-2-3-4.

well it hasn't been socketed. I was going to talk to you about that. So right now I need a coil pack to try.

I was thinking the ECU also, just cause thats one of the things that was recently swapped. Funny that the club founder doesn't have a running car . (sorry TJ, I had to say it )
