well it looks like the galant is going under the knife again, the experimental head seems to have lost a bit of the modification (apoxy), that was used to raise the runners for better velocity... looks like i'm going to have to remove the head and find out for sure, and it's likely i'll need to have another head done... no big deal and i'm still happy as heck because it ran 11's @ mid boost, and its one of the top 15 for 1/4 mile time and in the top 8 for mph (galant vr4's only)... and there is still more room to get faster on the setup i have now (excluding the head)... i'll post my time on www.dsmtimes.org/in the not too distant future... i'll let you guys know what i find when i pop the head... the storage insurance goes on in 3 weeks, so the galant is done for this year...

hey man congrats on the 11 second run. With mid boost what set up were ya running? 4g64/63head, crower stage 3 cams, eagle rods, wiesco pistons, fidenza fly, 880's, 255, fpr, magnus intake, ballanced assembly, big i/c, h/x-40 turbo from bullseyeperformance.com (in muskegon), 25ish psi on 110 oct. gas, act 2900 and street disc, 3" turbo back exhaust, few other things i'm sure, but that's most of it... and still on a 3 bolt rear!

took off the head, and found one of the raised runners had it's raised runner chunked out into my combustion chamber, i think i have a few bent valves but the piston looks fine, so i think i'll be good for next year without spending too much $ on the car...
