I'm looking for a reputable shop that is knowledgeable in DSM's. Have a modified DSM that needs repaired beyond my current knowledge of DSM's. I've looked all over Michigan so far with no luck! May have to trailer my car to Buscher Racing.

There aren't any dsm specific shops that I know of, but there are a lot of very smart dsmers on this site that would be willing to help.

What type of repairs are needed?

I purchased this DSM already modified. I would say the car is stuck in "safe mode" right now. ECU has the car flood with gas when running. The more you try to "give it gas" the more the car floods out. I have already installed a new ECU, new O2 sensor, and a new knock sensor. This used to be an intermittent problem - you would be driving along and then lose power.

car is 1g. Balance shafts removed, upgraded lash adjusters, 16G turbo with 34mm flapper, ported turbine and O2 sensor housings, ported 2G exhaust manifold with Evo 8 (four layer MLS) gasket, 2 1/4 lower intercooler pipe, 2 1/2 upper intercooler pipe, modified inlet/outlet on stock intercooler. Vacuum lines removed on throttle body and filled with soder. Vacuum line removed on stock MAS. Walboro 190 fuel pump. Everything else is stock on the engine. Car starts up and runs like it's bogged down, and you can smell the gas flooding out the engine. The more you apply the gas pedal the more the car floods out.

are you sure the pump is a 190? if it is a 255 instead of a 190 you might be overrunning your stock fpr.

check your cylinder compression, could have a washed out cylinder, or your injectors are stuck wide open flooding your car.

Have you checked for air leaks? It would have to be a fairly big one, or several small ones, but that might give you the isu your having. also might want to put a fuel preasure gauge on it, could have a regulator sticking...

Just did the compression test - compression is good on all four cylinders - may have to revisit checking for air leaks again

you could always try calling dsm graveyard in k-zoo, they're more of a parts supplier but they do a lot of work on dsms too and they might be able to help you out with finding whats wrong

agreed, and similar feelings can be found here about "the graveyard, dsm graveyard, or graveyard motorsports" whatever they're going by these days. Unless your just hard up for parts. Just don't let them touch your car/ engine. for future referance, please note the dates of the threads your replying too. No needd to revive threads that are over a year old. no biggie, happens to most new members we get.
