Car did awesome for the shootout trip, minus the clutch which was on its way out. Took it out last night for its last time out for the season. Its getting what I'll call the "stage 1" of my car which will be fueled by E85. I'd like too test out this stock turbo which is proven to be pretty awesome. I'll do the STM setup like I wanted for 2011 Here's my "stage 1" list: Walbro 255 - Check 1000cc injectors Tactrix cable v1.3 Exedy Twin HD 10.5 Evo 9 Hotside for my Stock 8 turbo. MAPerformance o2 housing dump Kelford? 272's EVO IX BOV ARP Headstuds AEM Wideband Pix from yesterdays meet:

looks like a solid list. couple things i might suggest though
i'd add some arp headstuds as a precaution.
no tial bov. the evos aren't as forgiving as a 2g running vta. if you just a have a stock platic 8 bov still get a metal ix/jdm viii or similar and you're set. i bought my turboxs type-h for mine for $50 shipped and fit and worked perfect.
get a licp. the rest of the piping is plenty efficient. the ebay replica ams pieces are pretty nice and definitely help with spoolup
just a couple cheap things to maximize your setup. otherwise looks like it should be fun. going to a crazy setup like the stm really isnt worth it on a stock engine imo. that setup will have you running 11s with way more fun.

Thanks for the input. Yes ARP's are most definitely on my mind, just forgot to list them. The FMIC I have coming does come with the ams lower ic pipe as well which is good. I will definitely look into the IX bov then. List updated Thanks!

Got the FMIC on today. Super easy direct bolt on install! Still need to take the transmission off and do the clutch. I am slowly doing it as I procrastinate to tackle the full job in one sitting.

Trans is almost out. Just have to get the t-case off pretty much. I must say though, it is so much nicer working on one of these then an my past dsms. Everything comes off nicely... the axles even slid right out the hubs!

Everything comes off nicely... the axles even slid right out the hubs! That how everything is on a '99 that's always been garaged, too. No siezed bolts, no corosion anywhere, nothing. Nice, isn't it? ;D

Shoot, my car is over 30 years old and nearly all the bolts look brand new.

Oops, did it again. This one is nicer though, 13k original miles. Awaits a clutch (continuing my log right where I left off, everything is the same minus body). Has my old coil overs and other goodies as well that I switched over. Had to pull an all nighter swapping everything to the new car. Owner drove the black car over last night, and drove his new silver evo home in the morning. Why did we trade? He was hella bored of it and needed a new project. Extreme car a.d.d...
