Well I figured I'd start a project log considering I know where I want to be is going to be a long and bumpy road.
When I bought the car back in April it had 204k miles with an engine rebuild around 20k before that and tranny 30k before that. The odometer is at 211k as she sits. The guy that sold it to me took all of his goodies off and put them on his Laser. Lame. When I got it the car had a few things done to it but nothing special by any means.
Slowly but surely I've been cleaning her up (i.e. hoses, clamps, lines, filters) and adding some toys. As it sits right now this is what she's got:
2G MAS w/ stock 2G intake pipe Walbro 190lph (rewired) with stainless feed from the tank to rail FuelLab AFPR EVO 560cc injectors KeyDiver Stg. 3 chip Stock 14b Modded 1G BOV 4 bolt rear Stock 6 bolt ? Aftermarket sway bar in the rear
So over the next year or so she'll be lookin better. School takes up a lot of time and money so the process is going to be very slow; then again, who isn't on a budget these days, right?
On tap next I plan on rebuilding my 14b and replacing the turbine housing with one from a blown ebay big 16G that I'm going to tear down. As well as a new oil return line with some thread locker and copper crush washers. I was thinking of buying a tubular manifold too, but I'd like to buy a 2g and keep it a more stock look. Who knows... only time will tell.

I would suggest an FP mani before anything tubular. I can't wait for you to finish that BJ you started too. That was pretty bad, but I'm hoping you can turn things around and finish up real strong.

I agree with Ben. Get a tubular if you are switching to a t3 or t4 footprint, but if you stick with a stock mitsu footprint and an internal gate, it is pretty hard to beat the FP manifold.

i'd say yes but they're a bitch to fit in if you get a front mount. i tried a setup with the short route would interfere with the piping or dump right onto the charge piping, while the long routes (ssautochrome) would work around it but have ALOT more piping. i havent yet found a good dump tube for 1g's that works with a short route front mount, so maybe check into that if you plan to get one.
right now i have a megan tubular o2 housing (recirc'ed) with an 18g and dont suffer any boost creep as of yet, but im still tuning and turning up the boost slowly so the verdict isnt in for my setup.

Shizam Well I'm picking up another 14b and a front mount on friday. The core is 17x8x2.5. So I don't think I'll have any problems when I go to put it in.
