just wondering what the signs of a bad coolant temp sensor are.. cuz the laser is giving me issues starting and once it does start, it will die even if i hold the gas and the rpm's will only go up when i first push the gas then nothing and it dies... fuel pump is working, spark is there but a little weak. but what gets me is how once the motor gets to about 1/4 temp it'll start fast and run good.. also after drving the car at full temp i can shut it off and it will turn right over

idk...have you swapped out the coil pack? my friend's 1g would run and idle great for a min and as soon as you drove it it acted like the coolant temp sensor was messed up it would sputter and eventually die...then if you let it sit for a while it would start up and idle great again. we swapped coils and never had a problem after that... I would change the temp sensor and see where that gets you and if that doesn't help i would go to the coil pack...you said it has spark but it seems weak

i would change the coolant temp sensor then...but you never know you still might have a bad coil, I've seen brand new ones go out really quick

I'm not sure if it would be the same situation for a 2G. My buddy had pretty much the same exact problem with his 2G and we narrowed it down to his CAS. Swapped it out and runs like a charm. Just an idea if nothing else works.
