Does anyone know what the heatercore is steel or aluminium? looking to put an fittings on it for easy dissassembly.

Does anyone know what the heatercore is steel or aluminium? looking to put an fittings on it for easy dissassembly. Do you mean where it goes through the firewall? If so, those are plastic junk. I too have thought about using something else there but I don't know what you could use.

I thought it was all copper....? They are on 2G's at least. I can't remember back to when I pulled the dash out of the 1G...

hmm perhaps I was wrong, I for some reason remember plastic but it has been a while. If it is copper you could always braze on some fittings and run an lines.

Yes, John is correct. 1g's are all copper as well. Why do you want fitting on there Rob? What's easier than the worm clamps that hold the rubber hoses on now, and how ofer are you needing to take them off anyway?? I don't understand.....
