I am getting ready to tear down a lot of the talon in an attempt to get these oil leaks under control... so while its apart, I would like to send out the valve cover to get powdercoated.

Lol, darn it!
any one else know of a good place? I have a local guy up here who does it, but he wants 200 for my valve cover... that seems kind of crazy to me.

Tefco in Niles did my red VC. it's one of the most durable coatings I've ever seen. I practically used my VC as a toolbox when working on my car, and I've only ever picked up one scratch in over 6 years. Back when I had it done, they only charged me $75 for the coating. My new VC is in Texas getting coated right now. It's being done by Tirado Custom Coatings. Carlos does amazing work. If you're willing to mail it out to have it done, I'd definitely recommend looking into his work. www.tiradocustomcoatings.com

One of my old co-workers had his wheels powdercoated at ProPowder in South Haven. The place is right behind my office. When I called for a quote for a set of 18" wheels, he said it would be about $25 ea. Only catch is for that price, it needs to be a finish that he runs frequently. They generally run high volume work, but they squeeze in some other parts if they have the machines set-up for the color you want. Worth a call at least... www.propowder.net/
