so far just a lot of repair.. labor is cheap.. overall price is going to depend on what parts you want to use.. i rebuilt my FWD this winter shifts like brand new..

using kits from jacks the basic rebuild for 90-99 awd runs about 635.. 90-99 fwd runs about 660 there are other cheaper kits but these are good for around 400-500hp but i can also do the big builds for cheaper than anyone else..

ive found kits that are cheaper equivilent to a stock rebuild that would be around 500 to do..

[/quote] that's some funny shit blaine. personally i prefer the grease colored permatex. it's easy to find and it matches the natural surroundings of the dsm transmission. kinda like camoflauge!

Grey permatex is supposed to be used to seal the case Bro that's the FIRST thing I thought when I saw the pics. The orange RTV isn't as tolerable to the trans' gear oil. Mopar has some Badass RTV btw. The black stuff labeled "ATF RTV" is incredible. I'd use that shit on literally anything needing sealed. I swear if you RTV'd your auto trans pan with that stuff and let it dry it would stay put and sealed with no bolts. But in my professional opinion if your willing to skimp and not use the proper recommended RTV, who know's what else inside that trans that you skimped on? Roll pins, needle bearings, etc, etc. I'm not jocking your work in any way, I'm sure you do decent work, that is just my outsiders opinion.

Yeah I hear you but thats why i prefer to rebuild it front of the person showing them every step of the way and explaining to them everything I am doing.. The sealant we normally use is used on the transmissions on military vehicles.. just didnt have any on hand.. regardless if it leaks Ill fix it..
