I have owned this truck for around 3 years, and it has been flawless. It has needed very little maintenance, and I have taken very good care of it.
Specs
- Black exterior with light gray interior
- 4dr
- 4wd (not auto, its push button)
- 5.7L Vortec V8 w/ mail order performance tuned computer (basiclly changed shift points, and made small fuel adjustments, drives much better then stock)
- Regular oil changes with Napa Gold filters and Oil
- K&N Drop in Filter
- 168,xxx miles
- Leather seats
- Power windows
- Power seats
- Dual rear Doors (not the hatch style)
- AC and Heat work great
- Remote Starter and keyless entry
- Trailer Hitch with 2" reciever and wired for trailer brakes with controller
- Newer (less then 2 years) Goodyear Wrangler silent armor tires on Cadillac Esclade rims with blank chrome center caps
- Parts replaced in the last 6 months - New Battery, New Alternator, New Serp Belt, New Automatic tensioner, New Wiper arms and blades, Full tune up (AC Delco plugs, Napa beldin wires, premium cap and rotor, and PCV), New Blower Motor, New OEM rear diff cover and fluid changed, New t-stat and Waterpump and more I'm forgetting I'm sure. I work for Napa, so a lot of parts got replaced even if they didnt need to be.
EDIT: Forgot that I had Load-adjusting rear shocks installed for towing my talon, so the ass end doesnt sag way down.
Small Issues
- Key doesnt unlock driver door, power lock works, but the outside key hole wont turn. I always just used the keyless entry.
- Burns/Leaks some oil (which 5.7 doesnt...) I believe it could use some Valve cover gaskets, but its nothing serious.
- Surface rust on lower kick pannels like every other truck of this age. Could be easily fixed as it hasnt rusted through any pannels yet. I dont have that ability, so its never been done.
I had no intention of selling this truck until I found a good deal on a Subaru for my daily driver. It is in great condition and has never failed me. I towed my Talon on a heavy trailer to OH and back, and have driven it to Kansas 2 times without any problems.
Currently looking for $5500 O.B.O
If you want more information or are interested, please send me a PM and we can exchange phone numbers if need be. I can take some more pictures if needed and live in Grand Rapids, so a meeting to check it out can be arranged.
Thanks, Aaron
