Its funny, because this comes up on Xceedspeed a lot, and most the guys there are dicks about it. I guess Carfax got rid of there unlimited service, and you have to pay for each and every carfax now.
I have read about a way to use Ebay to get a free one, but I dont know the entire process. But I think you have to list your car forsale, and it will let you get a free check, and then you have to delete the ad.
Good Luck

I did not know Carfax no longer had their unlimited service. That's stupid. The way Carfax pushes that ask your dealer for your free Carfax today shit, if it wasn't free I'd charge people asking if I was a dealer! I know how to do the free eBay one if anyone wants to know. 1. Login or sign up for eBay. 2. List your car for sale using your VIN in the Local section, this is free, no listing fee's. 3. Once your ad is up in the local classified section, go to it and click the Autocheck link ON the ad, this will give you a Carfax type report. 4. Delete ad. You will not be charged any listing fee's or cancellation fee's. That's it! Although it's not as detailed as say Carfax, it just gives you the basic into. No recalls etc. I just want to see what recalls Carfax has listed. One site tells me this car has no recalls, another says there are 2, another tells me there are like 6. One site tells me they don't apply, someone else with the same car says they had the recall preformed and it does. 2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4. New daily driver. She is beautiful, not a SPOT of rust and so damn clean!

you don't have any recalls on the vehicle. both recalls it had were performed at fox ford. it has the updated rear liftgate glass hinges and beauty bolts isntalled (04s20) and has the fused jumper harness for the cruise deactivation switch (09s09). oh and it's a silver frost 02 xlt with a 4.0 and 5r55w trans and it was built on 1/4/02.
