For those of you that don't know I have a 92 Laser project car that I am building for drag racing, but would like to still be able to drive every once and awhile on the street. I may have finally found some time and money to start working on it again and the next step is buying a fuel cell. I plan to cut the spare tire hump out of the trunk and weld in a flat piece with a hole for the fuelcell sump to go through. I am looking for anyones input on what fuel cell to go with. I think a 10 gallon will be big enough that I can drive the car on the street, but still small enough to fit where I want it. I am looking at the following three cells www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-291210Dwww.jegs.com/i/JAZ/547/210-510-03/10002/-1?CT=999www.skspeed.com/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=R252100Thanks in advance for your input.

I've got a 16 gal in mine. (see sig pic below) tight fit. 10 gal should be a piece of cake. Any particular reason why your not looking at plastic? 1/2 the price and you're going to have to make a "fire wall" for the trunk area with either one. You can find a nice used plasic one for cheap. The last one I bought for a '39 plymouth I was working on was a 16 gal jaz plastic cell, with foam and an elec. sending unit for $40. This would leave you money for other goodies worth a look.

I bought an aluminum RCI cell just like the Jaz cell in the second link. I agree that 10-gal is plenty big enough. You also might want to get one with a sending unit built in. That way you can pick up an aftermarket gauge and keep track of how much fuel is in the cell.
