I will probably change the rules to a post count of like 25 at least before you can post for sale but its not in effect yet. TJ brought up this point in the For Sale section. I think that has both it's advantages and disadvantages to setting a minimum post count. pluses: - helps prevent people from just joining to post ads. - hopefully deters scammers. minuses: - Still a chance that someone may just build up the required number posts and still put up bad ads. - You will probably notice a lot more useless posts and replies in other threads because of the minimum. If anyone's noticed that DSMTalk has gone to a minimum posts to access the for sale/wanted to buy sections. You cannot even access these sections until you make the min. number of posts. I've seen the amount of useless posts skyrocket since this has been done... The one thing I much prefer about the local boards is that there is a lot less useless posts then on the bigger boards that everyone from all-over is a part of. Anyway, I'm rambling now, so I will just stop now. Thought I would just share my opinion. Thanks for reading, Luke

We've had our fair share of useless posts and bumps... certain people know what I'm talking about. However, I think we need a min post rule. If people start postwhoring, there are moderators here who can use their discretion to edit/delete/ban, whatever they feel is necessary.
I think that we should not limit access to the classifieds though. I remember when I was new and looking for parts. If I couldn't even look at the classifieds section on certain sites, it would have taken me forever to gather up what I needed. We're not big enough to warrant a 50 post count min, but something in the 20-25 range sounds resonable.

Yeah, you're right, a min post would probably be a good thing... Guess I'm just so frustrated about what DSMTalk did....

25 posts sounds reasonable I am all for it And to Pinder's point, we'll take care of those that don't earn it correctly

for sure. I am looking into a way to make it so you can post a new topic in those forums unless you have that amount but it looks like we will just have to monitor it. All posts that were put in before the new rule will stay. Would you guys like a good guy/bad guy thing?

A good guy/bad guy thing isn't a bad idea... however, it seems that except for new people registering, everyone knows everyone else and they're reputation. Maybe just a feedback type of thing like tuners has???

Just add another subforum TJ under the classifieds area where people can post their "experiences"...
if things get out of hand I know we can take care of it, I dont want to see some SBR bash fest or some uber retardedness going on

As much as I would love to bash sbr people have the right to buy from where ever they please I will look into making the new forum tomorrow (should only take a min) and If you would like to edit your rules post go ahead with the 25 post minimum.
