Well um, I did trench the power to my garage last fall I'm going to connect it soon and work on fixing the floor.
But in the meantime my old trans is out and down at TRE and my used TRE trans is on its way in. I'm also installing a Fidanza light weight flywheel and clutch. I also picked up a new passenger side repop axle and of course everyone has seen my black Enkei VIIIs. My goal for this summer is to install a FMIC, Mega Squirt and Injectors along with a AFPR and a catch can. After that I'd just like to get a little practice in and see how much boost an old 145k 4G63 can take.

Call me when you're ready. Me and Dale (and maybe even Sewey) are down to help.

D, I know where you can get a sweet fmic setup and even an afpr and catch can, and even a ba suspension setup!

I have a brand new catch can and AFPR with gauge along with all the fittings and SS line. As far as the FMIC goes it would have to be a hell of a smoking hot deal for me which would basically screw you. I'm not interested in a blow through set up and I don't want to low ball a friend.

Saturday afternoon OndaO came down and helped me install the TRE trans that I bought from Ben and a new Fidanza 3.2 4 puck clutch. Being that my garage floor is very broken and uneven, we could not balance the trans on the floor jack and lift it into place. I got to be the jack and place the trans on my stomach and push it into place while Dan lifted it for the top and put the bolts in. We had a few snags. First the trans had no clutch fork boot. A quick visit to a local shop fixed that. Then the trans and the block both had the same sleeve for the trans bolts. We figured that out after I had lifted the trans in the first time. Then while putting the bolts in for the trans mount, Dan discovered that the holes were stripped out. Another trip to the hardware store for a few longer bolts. We got the trans in and the clutch bled. I finished up the rest of it today and drove it. It shifts fine and the clutch feels great. It engages almost at the top of the pedal travel, so I'll have to adjust that. I also leaked a quite a bit of trans or t-cast fluid when I went for a test drive. Tomorrow I'll get under it and find the leak. I hope it turns out to be an easy fix. I'm pretty happy. I just hope I can get that leak fixed and have an alignment done before Thursday.

Of course I am. No more 4X4 for me. Brent, do you have Axel/trans gaskets in stock?

I got back under my car this morning and found the leak. It turned out to be the pass. side axle seal. First, when I was installing the axle the first time, I removed the spring clamp from the inner axle shaft. I had done this many years ago when upon removel I had separated my CVs because I pulled on the axle instead of prying them out. When I did my install that time, I removed the clip ( poor advice from a friend) and installed the axle thinking that it would come out better next time. To this day it still doesn't have a clip and I have had no problems. On Saturday when I was installing my new axle, it felt like it did not seat. But I was able to get the other end into the hub and finish assembly of everything else. I figured that there was no way I could get the axle into the hub unless it was fully seated right? Wrong. After talking to Brent, I put the little clip back onto the axle shaft and installed the axle again. I gave it a few good knocks with the plastic mallet just to make sure it seated all the way. I filled it back up with Trans fluid and No Leaks! I put everything else back together and took it for a spin. So far so good. Wednesday she is going to my friend's shop for a $20.00 alignment after I drop her a few inches. If all goes well, I will be driving her to Ohio! Thanks again Dan, I couldn't have done it without you.

the plans for the car are still in order... with a few changes. 1.fmic. 2.4-bolt rear end. 3. remove all rust, dings, etc. and paint. probably gun-metal gray. will also begin my own project log thread, to not be a bigger tool-bag than i already am.
