Well it's about damn time, but I've been putting overtime into getting my car back on the road. I ended up stripping down the block and replacing everything but the crank. Got both parts of the motor together and in the car a week or two ago, but a friend's wedding took up most of my recent time.
Anyways, she took her first breaths of air at 9:30 tonight so the end is clearly in sight. I'd like to have it out at the next Test & Tune at Martin a week from tomorrow, so thats the goal. I'll actually be racing the other car to get in the mindset for the real event so if anyone is out, I'll see you there.
Pics to come once I wash up the car and get it drivable.
;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey man, haven't talked to you in forever. Hows Detroit treating ya?
Yea I should go get some pics...but most of the jankiness that was repaired is under the dashboard and center console; you remember that huge mess of wiring that you saw when we dyed our dashboards at your place.
Well in short, thanks to my friend Brad, every connection is now soldered with headshrink...no more electrical tape! Amazingly enough, everything works 100% now all the time, no weird voltage drops, etc. Under the hood, everything has been all rebuilt, but is mostly the same.
I'll try and get some pics up here pretty soon.

Ok ok ok...pics are finally here: For the full mod list, go here: www.dsmtuners.com/forums/member.php?u=30349Fresh engine rebuild (still the same forged 9:1 set-up), Energy Suspension motor mounts, re-done wiring harness (everything is soldered and heatshrinked, no electrical tape), alternator wires are now 4ga (there is even a few 4ga ground wires just for you Brandon). Thanks to Brad for the electrical genius that I lack... Turbo is a dual BB5031 with polished compressor housing and the valve cover has been shaved and polished, both thanks to Tim (onefast99gsx on the Link forums). Notice that I got new headlights...no more janky looking home made brackets! Here is a small lawn & garden battery that fit underneath, I've also got a full size battery located in the spare tire section in the rear. This way I pass tech without having to have them test a battery cut-off and reset everything. Plus my voltage is perfectly stable now, yay for a good idle! It also shows the 2.5" tubular throttle body elbow that I made. Here is the trunk where my Brad custom fitted a big piece of plywood to the trunk, then carpeted it, then made an amp rack with the wires running underneath. Don't mind the dirtiness, I'll armor-all the panels in the trunk here soon enough. On to the interior...I retrofitted an actual dome light w/2 indivicual map lights in the car because a. the stock ones sucked and b. I put in an auto-dimming rear view mirror w/compass and external temp that doesn't have a dome light built in. I can actually light up the entire interior at night now! Here you can see the turbo timer relocated to the extra DIN spot underneath the head unit. And the new license plate:

Looking good MLF! The jankiness has been subdued, lol. You still need black seatbelts though.

It looks great Lafond. I like the rearview and dome light mod. I'm glad to see its back on the road. Now get back to 131 so I can make some more money.
