This is really more of a project "back-log" since it's already back in and running pretty strong. But I figured I'd post up some pics and some quick info and see if you guys approve. Well it all started when me and a friend were on our way back from Chicago around the end of July, and after laughing at a bunch of people broken down on the side of the highway I guess karma finally caught up, and it lost power and we just coasted to the side of the highway. I wasn't about to try and fix anything on the side of 294 in the suburbs of Chi-town so I called my dad and he came with the Durango and our trailer and we eventually made it back to Michigan. Fast forward a week when I found some time to do some investigating. After a while I found that my BS belt had shredded and gotten into the timing belt. Ok so I'll reset the timing and everything will be great, but when I went to turn the intake cam there was no spring pressure. So I pulled the head and this is what I found.... So after a little bit of deliberation I finally decided that I'd just pull the entire thing and try my first build up.....

And the last thing was to get this thing jacked up and drop her in. One thing that really sucked was trying to move that hoist and engine around on our dirt barn floor, pain in my god damn ass man. But it's done now. It went in just about as easy as it came out. And after another week of hooking up all the little things, double and triple checking, and a little help from paul in hartford with the thermostat housing it was finally ready to turn over. So we got it primed and full of fluids and started to crank. About 4 cranks into it it fired up and started going. The next day I got the timing set and all the little things I had left to do done... I think that my ultimate goal is somewhere around 400 to 450 for this car and hopefully the internals in this engine can get me there. I figured the 1G big rods, 2G pistons, BS elimination, and the cams should be able to get me there. But for right now I've got the boost turned way down for break in. And after 1,000 or so I'll probably bump it up to around 14 or 15. I'm hoping to hit 300 after I pick up DSMlink, some bigger injectors, and a 255 FP. But thats not going to be for a while because this project kind of put a hurtin' on my pockets. But I've been driving it for about a week now and have about 350 miles on it. And theres just a few things to wrap up yet, a small leak from the tranny (I've got all new axle seals and transfer case seals coming) and I have to put on my spark plug cover. Other than that I'm pretty happy! Well let me know what you guys think, and what you think about my goals for it!

Lookin good! You should spray some of that orange clean degreaser on the tranny so it looks as clean as everything else.

Well I've done a lot since the engine, got DSMLink, put in an external oil cooler, and I'm sure theres some other things. But I'm just finishing up the biggest thing I've had to do since the engine pull. Last week I parked the car because I kept hearing a clicking noise, so I started to pull it apart and found a bad CV joint so I didn't did any deeper and figured that was it. So I got some new axles from Raxles and got it back together only to find out there was something still wrong. So I pulled it apart again and found my center shaft and transfer case was striped. So I decided to throw in the trans and transfer case I got from Shane (both rebuilt 2,000 miles ago, VR4 first gear, double syncroed 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear, TRE center spool, and SBR LSD) Plus I picked up a new Fidanza flywheel, and ACT 2600 pressure plate and street disk, new master and slave cylinders and just about every seal and bolt because I really don't want to take this thing apart again this year. But heres some pics...

Make sure you put a good amount of grease on that shaft. If you don't they tend to rust out and strip Learned the hard way also.

Well thanks to both sbstar and cheaptalon, I finally got my car running good again. The trans I got from sbstar is great, I love the VR4 first gear and the center spool is awesome (can't coast good when turning anymore but I love the sound in first gear). And cheaptalon saved me from resorting to the stealership and hooked me up with the shift assembly and linkage.
I also read up and I have some BG Syncroshift gear oil coming for the trans and some Redline Shockproof Heavy for the transfer case coming, kind of weird I never read up on that, but whatever. Anyway thanks to all for the help, I think I'm about where I want to be as far as getting this thing reliable for getting back and forth to work everyday... pics coming

Well I never did put this pic up, so heres the engine as it stands now, not looking too bad, and even better is its running great. The center spool has been fun getting used to, but mostly just in parking lots.

New FP Manifold. This thing is great, and the project went pretty smooth. I had to take out the radiator and turbo to get the drill in there and heli-coil 4 of the stud holes in the head, but it's running great. Well I still have an exhaust leak where the o2 sensor housing meets the turbo (it looks like its warped) but I guess thats next. But anyway, heres a couple pics....
