Tuesday, August 21: One day after we got back from the shootout, my motor started to make this really awesome noise... Fast forward one tow and one week and we found this: Well, at least it took me to the shootout and back, right? Plus now I get my very own project thread! After a month of deliberations, we decided to go with a 6 bolt, and we just picked up all this stuff tonight: Almost everything included... now we just have to decide what to tune with ;D

Sweet!! 6 bolt that ho! oh yeah tune it with link duh. Kind of leaning that way. If mega squirt can support the isc then we will go that way, because it is so much better but seriously no more stupid i/c leaks causing stupid little issues and enough to make 2200hp Other option is to do the Andy Moratis(sp) way and just run a keydiver chip. I have been itching to try DSMlink though, so for her goals we might do it.

Yeah I think we were waiting on someone else to see if they had a crank we could use with that one (I think...) and he never got back to us. This just came up over the weekend and it seemed like a good deal, so I think we are all set

Well long time no update. Brandy now owns the following. 1. full gray leather interior with a good air bag cover. 2. 16g that I will soon be porting 3. fp 14b/16g 2g install kit 4. Evo 3 INTAKE manifold The Evo 3 intake manifold is an amazing piece. It utilizes a 2g head, which is supposed to be far superior to a 1g head, especially for what we want. It have 3" shorter runners than a factory 2g intake manifold, a much larger plenum, and is also flanged for a large throttle body. It also doesn't have a spot for a map sensor (which I will talk about later). 5.BBK 62mm 2g throttle body upgrade. It can be seen here www.slowboyracing.com/estore/product.php?productid=5823&cat=0&page=1 , I will post some pics when it arrives. 6. Walbro 255 fuel pump We have also decided to do a mega squirt install because of Matt's recent success with controlling a stock DSM iac valve. Because of this, it will allow us to get rid of a few sensors, like the factory map sensor . Probably some large injectors for e-85. I think we are going to use a set of 1g manual cams and we might be getting a FP race manifold for it. So far that is where we are at. Funds are becoming available soon and we should be getting quite a bit done.

I am really hoping that it doesn't take luck to make this thing pretty fast But thank you for your kind words. The only thing that won't make it hold value is the Mega Squirt. Too many people don't know what it is, and are probably afraid to touch a car with it.

Let me know when you need the MS built up. As for the IAC, it's working good, but still every once in a while, it wont go fully closed, but i'd say it's 90% perfect most of the time. I think it's more related to an old, worn IAC valve anyway.
I'm working on adding an additional DB-9 plug on the end plate of the MS, for addition in/out capability. This will be used for the IAC outputs, and also other features such as launch control, boost control, and whatever really. I'm putting the opposite end DB-9 on the end plate, so it's not the same for the serial cable connection, so you cant accidentally plug in the wrong DB9 port.
Also, i've had one main, random issue with the MS, where i finally found out it was loosing sync with the CAS. The code was bench tested for 4 straight hours with no issue, so it was a hardware problem. All that was needed was small capacitor on the cam signal input on the MS2 card. So far, it's been perfect, no probs.
The MS2 Extra code is progressing, you/Brandy will love how the car runs on it.

Thats what I figured. We are just waiting for some tax money to come back and then we can get the rest of the motor parts and machine work done. Then it should come together nicely.

We're so close, don't jinx it TJ! Thanks for all the preliminary research Matt, I am excited to see how it works with my setup.
