Well, winter is here and it's time to start working on the eclipse. So I figured I would start my project log. I have a lot in mind for the dizzum this winter and I have already started in the buying process of all the parts.
The list of mods so far include:
Fp intake Fp manifold 16g or 18g turbo (still thinking on which to go with) Tial 38mm ms-v wastegate New clutch and flywheel 850cc injectors Dsmlink v3 Fpr Cams
And a few other things I can't think of right now. I'll get pics up of the engine as it is now and keep updating as I go along. I'm ready to get started and get her ready for spring! Feel free to share any advice or ideas as I'm open to any suggestions.

nice man, glad to see another 2g build in the works. As my PM said, 18g or bigger. dont waste your time with a 16g. While a good turbo, IMO they are just too small.
excited to see the progress, keep us up to date.

Thanks guys, and thanks again Aaron for the info.
First step is getting the car running again and see if the smoke is from my turbo or the head gasket. After that the engine is coming out and the fun begins! I'll keep posting as we go along.

Update: We got the car started and confirmed it was the head gasket causing the smoke. Started to pull the engine but of course ran into a few minor issues that turned a couple hour job into a three day job. But none the less the engine is out and its time to pull the head and get to work. Had to of course snap a couple pics of my first engine pull ;D Pics: Next up is putting together a list of everything I need and then just being able to afford it all. Hope to get my wastegate setup done here in the next week or two.

I like the coating on the FP manifold, I wish I would have gotten it done to mine.

Because Sewey is slackin, I'll update this. New turbo set-up: The new 18G-6SL2, Tial MSV wastegate, and Punishment-Racing SS O2 housing with the FP coated cast manifold. It's a sick looking set-up and should perform very nicely.

damn, i'm jealous of that turbo setup for sure. i wish mine looked that nice. I like that wastegate setup. maybe i need to look into that if i plan on keeping this turbo.

Ya, TJ and I finally installed my FP manifold, and man did it make a difference. Tune had to be changed, and the entire tone of the exhaust changed. Not to mention the ass dyno says it pulls harder. I ended up getting it coated in the swin tech coating, and then sprayed it with 2000 flat black. I'm sure it will end up gray after time.
What coating is that? is it the FP coating the had offered for a while?
