I hated doing this one let alone others...haha
I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a stupid 14b. But I have to put something at least presentable on the new engine. I can't have it looking all rusty and haggard. lol

I agree 100%. I've done all my other turbo's. even the 7cm 14b, and my 10cm 14b. but all the rest.... the hell with'em.

I wouldn't even painted your others unless your trying to sell them. haha. 10cm 14b...that's interesting. Yeah it took me about 3 hours or so. Waiting for paint to dry sucks. LOL. It is cute isn't it. Thanks Scott!

Not much of an update, but I had to search around for an Oil Separator before I put the rear main on. Justin hooked me up with one, so here's a pic after I installed it. Totally forgot to take a pic of the separator, but its a round piece of steel that keeps oil from directly hitting the rear main seal possibly causing a rear main leak.

UPS just dropped off some much needed parts to finish up the long block. So hopefully I will be finishing this up soon. Head gasket and a new front cover gasket(took the front cover off to debur the edges of the oil pump gears). New oil pump gears have sharp edges and can tear into the front cover and kill it. Better to be safe than sorry. Auto spacer plate for the twin disc clutch. This will give me some extra room for the long flywheel bolts. Timing tensioner bolts. Cheap and couldn't find any local, so I just ordered new ones. Also picked up this awesome shift knob. Leather wrapped and its weighted. Thing seriously feels like its 2lbs. I'm sure its less than 1 lbs, but damn its heavy! Cheap too at only 16 bucks!

I love that heavy knob, I have one used to run it. I am heavily considering putting it back in, this car just has a really nice greddy knob.

I was hoping this was a good purchase! haha. Worked on the engine again today. I needed to run a tap through my head bolt holes to clean them up. They came out pretty good. Here are the new studs installed with new head dowels in place. Cylinder head on with the stock composite head gasket sprayed with copper spray.

This car is looking amazing! keep up the good work! So what is the projected goal on having this beast done? 2.5 years ago... haha! It would be great if I could just get it running this year. I'm in no rush, but I don't see why I couldn't get it going this year. Thanks Glorious!!! Little update, I bought a brand new Autozone radiator for 50 bucks....they go for normally 183...lol ;D
