well im starting to actually build my car up a little bit now.. and i i have a new turbo on the way... which should be here next week... its a fp20g will post pics up one i recieve it. also im getting rid of the pacesetter tubular header and have a ported 2g manifold coming in the mail with the turbo...
my 14b decided to snap the shaft and the bearing or something took out the coolant lines inside the turbo which flooded the hot side... forcing it to come out of the seal where the manifold meets the turbo..
but yeah as of right now i have the turbo and manifold coming in the mail and this weekend ill be ordering a new 02 housing and a external wastegate setup. also will try and get the 550's i got from tom out to get cleaned so those can be put on at the same time.. im keeping the stock exhaust on till spring so that the new piping wont see salt for a little while... plus ill be putting a wideband on the car and have not deicide what brand to go with since i hear so much different things... The car will be babied till then because my front mount from travis wont be put on till then... and hopefully i can get the eprom socketed for link and have the car tuned to a good basis. i haven't decide on what version of link i wanted to go with but i have a little bit of time to figure out what setup for tuning i want. im doing my reasearch but havent really grasped it yet. i am curiouse about the speed density setup but dont know how much i would benifit and how much everything would cost me... i just want a good 13 sec car this year if its fast the good... if its slower then ill be mad... if someone could maybe explain what is needed for speed density and how it works id appreciate it. but like i said once i get the turbo and manifold in i'll take pictures of it

a little bit a of progress has happened more or less just cleaning the crap out of everything... and i put a motor mount in that wasnt on the car when i got it and now i cant move the engine with my hands. im taking the 550's to get cleaned this week and the turbo and 38mm external wastegate will be here hopefully tomarrow...

well good news i got my turbo, 2g manifold, and my tubular o2 housing in this week.. and i should get my external wastegate in this weekend.. and then i get to start putting the car back together once i get the turbo gasket set in.. the only other thing i really need are the studs and nuts from the turbo to the o2 housing. anyone know where i can get those on the cheap?

from ME! I've got some studs/nuts here that you can have. They're brand new. Awhile back there was a guy on tuners selling what he called 16g install kits, that came with these as well as all the oil and water fitting/lines plus about 50 other parts. I was in need of about 4 sets of turbo to manifold bolts which were also included. New bolts at the dealer were $13ea. and this kit was like $15! So I bought 5 kits. So basically if that's all you need, I have them here, since I never really needed the o2 studs. Everyone with a 1g should just move closer to me, it's more convenient ;D

I got to fill all the shelves in the shop with something, I've got practically a whole garage worth of shelving in there, plus the ones I made upstairs that are only at about 10% capacity.

friday is best, Saturday I'm trailering my 14b car to my cousin's shop to finish the rollcage, after we pick up his new big block from the engine builder and have it dynoed, so I'll be gone most of the day. But I'll be around all day friday that I'm aware of. I may have a few exh manifold studs as well, I'll take a look in my stud drawer when your here.. Just give me a call friday.

Yeah Sunday is good too. Sat late would work too, but I'm not sure what time I'll be done with all this cage stuff??
Turbo looks bad ass, are you going to saw of the elbow on the compressor off to fun a fmic?, or only ever run a side mount as it appears to be set up for currently?

Nice looking turbo, I always loved my car with the 20g on it, those turbos just come on differently than anything else.

i havent really decided... i know right now i have only the stock side mount on the car... but i have the front mount just sitting in the garage waiting for some pipes... but i as also debating on runing a long route piping so i had more room in my engine bay since my o2 housing and wastegate is set up as a dump...so i guess it depends on the whole clearance issue.. i still need to drop off the 550 injectors to get cleaned but im only going to run low low boost till i can upgrade the fuel pump and everything... plus i still need to socket the ecu and i havent figured out what setup i want to tune with since i dont know anything about tuning yet. i would prolly just have someone else tune it that knows what they are doing... and ill watch and learn... my only goal for this year on the car is a solid low 13 high 12 sec... if i can get that im happy...........for now. and here's a picture of the wastegate and the o2 housing with dump

well a quick little update i got the turbo and manifold all bolted up to the car. and not all i have to do it the o2 housing. the stock o2 housing it being gay and not coming off the exhaust so im kind of stuck
