i'm doing a rear disc brake swap and this is the last thing i need. the car will be in car shows so the backing plates have to be in GOOD condition. actually i want new ones, but the only place to get them is the dealership, and they can't order them because they need a VIN of a car w/ disc brakes.
so let me know if ur parting out a 2g and have backing plates in good condition (no excessive dents, and no rust)

Are you still in need of the rear disk backing plates? I recently purchased a 95 GS parts car and I believe it has the disk backing plates. I'll know for sure once I get the vehicle home. I used a fender, door and ground effects to replace the ones that were damaged on my car. The car is currently at a body shop. I'll know for sure once I get it home next week if it has the backing plates.

ok cool. Do you know that there are shoes on the inside of the rear disk drum? The pads are on the rear disk. Or was that what you were referring to?
