Yea, what about measuring the clearances Only thing I saw him check was the ring end gap. Cool video, but building a motor is not something I'd brag about doing fast. I took my time on everything, did it in a sterile clean room with surgical gloves changed very often. Call me paranoid, but I didn't wanna mess anything up. I know that the inside of my motor is clean and the clearances are right. Maybe he checked everything before-hand though, who knows.

I personally like to lube a lot more on the bearings and I didnt see him use any lube on the bolts or washers. It didnt look like he did the 3 torque method on the headbolts. Some really picky people dont even like to use the clicker type of torque wrenches on that stuff.
Also what was the stuff he sprayed on the gaskets? Some sort of silicone?

its copper spray. After heat cycled copper is one of the best gaskets you can have. I wouldn't really run one for the stuff he did though. But copper is the shiz for exhaust and some head gaskets.

It's at least a 50lbs paper weight?!?!?! Nah, he was referring to the excessive 9lbs of boost I feed my motor... but yes, I was very paranoid when I was building it...possibly a bit much, but at least it works.

eh, bullshit. No way he did that in 10 min. A saw a few fatal flaws. He didn't torque the head bolts, gerdle mains, rods bolts in the the three step fashion. He torqued the cams caps in one step going from one side to the other doing one cam at a time. Installing the oil pan last is a big, dah da daaa!. Still pretty cool vid. I wanted to do that when I rebuilt my engine, front end from the ground up.

Area 51 sterile..... .....If dirt or other small fireign material gets within 30 clicks of this block, 6 alarms will sound. If we fart it's all over with..... ;D haha, J/J

For example: Head bolts arp. Say you want 100ft lb's total. You want to do it in three steps. First step, one proper sequence at 40 ft lb's. Second step, one more round at 75 ft lb's Final torque at 100 ft lb's in proper sequence. This helps achieves a better sealing of the head gasket,a better more even load across the block, and a more accurate final torque reading.
