Interesting spark plug cover, the black valve cover and black/purple looks kinda sweet
Ive got some 1G steelies and left over OEM paint so maybe I'll paint them tomorow when I have some free time since you just painted yours and they came out looking good.
did you use a clear coat ?

I havent given an update in quite a while so i figure i should . It runs, not that well but it runs. Theres still alot of little things that could be looked into but I have no garage to store it in so is not easy to have an opportunity to work on it. Also I work 1st shift and get out with like an hour befor its dark out. So, iono its kinda a drag but maybe i'll have more luck next year.

New Update: Due to a pretty wicked knock I decided to tear the engine back apart. The shop has it and also gave me some info on the issue. The engine was built correct , with the exeption on me putting the piston rings in upside down( who knew? ,lol). The real issue lyed i the head. Apparently the sound wasent rod knock but instead my valves hitting my pistons!!! Fortunately my pistons and rods are still good, but I need new valves. They believe that it wasent due to a incorrect timming but more so due to just not enough clearence. Perhaps the deck had to be cut to many time, er somthing. He(shop tech said it happens every once in a while). Thier also doing some cutting into my pistons where the valve releave areas are for more clearence. So I should get it back tomorrow and for around 400 for everything. I also decided to do a couple thigs while ther engines out. Remove the cruise control and put in non cruise throttle cable, I sanded down some spots in the eginebay and did some priming/painting to fix up some rust. I picked up a rusted 3" tanabe exhaust for pretty cheap, cleaned and welded it up and it's lookin great. O, and while I was cleaning the engine bay I decided to relocate a bunch of sensors and bracket to make it look cleaner. Well , I suppose thats it for now. I'll try to keep this thing updated. -Edwin

bwahahaha I saw your block today when I dropped off Brandy's head, rods, crank, and pistons. Sucks to hear man, but it sounds like they are on top of it. I am really happy to hear that it wasn't my timing job. :sigh of relief:
