Are those seats going to allow for enough room to have the door bars pass by? Judging by the pictures, it looks like that shoulder support on the seat might be in the way. Isn't that why they come in under the shoulder support? It looked like there might be enough room in that area, which is where the bar is supposed to go through at. I think there is a measurement requirement on how close/far it has to be though.....I'll let Paul chime in on it though. Thats just a guess.

There's plenty of room for the side bars.

Technically, you can't determine where to run the door bar without the driver planted in the seat. The door bar must pass the driver at a point midway between the shoulder and elbow. I'm assuming that Pinder's door bar will pass right underneath that side piece of the seat as he has long arms and that gives for more leeway for door bar placement. But for an extremely tall person, or a person with short arms, that seat may not be applicable.

Nice job on the brackets. With mine being aluminum I have always had a "doubt" if they would hold up to a sever crash or not.
Judging by the height of the window to the shoulder support of the seat it looks like it's right in the way of the door bar. At least compared to my car. You won't know until you mock the cage up and driver is in place.

My monkey arms will allow me to pass the bar right underneath the should support, and between the seat and door panel armrest. At least that's how it works in my head. ;D

I didn't see anything about bracket material when I skimmed through the rules. Lets hope so. Otherwise they are getting painted. Although, I figured if the Kirkey seats are legal, and you can get aluminum brackets for them, then I should be able to jump in a loop hole. thay have to be atleast 1/2 inch to be legal i work at the track as a tec so if you need anything let me know ok thank you.

Because 1/2 thick would def. not true.... if it were everyone at the shootout would fail a tech inspection. 1/2 inch thick let's not be rediculous. we may all as well keep our factory sliders if that were true! i'll ask my buddy Tim Howard. he's a certified inspector for the IHRA, and also works at Martin every week this last 2++ years. i'll repost with the appropriate results.

Ok, kiddies, let's not whore out my thread. Take it to PM's please. Anyway, got the auto-belts pulled out last week. Shit weighs a ton. I need more storage space. I almost feel bad having these sitting around. And my most prized pieces of literature regarding this project.

Pinder - Does that Haynes manual have torque specs listed on the exploded-view images?
