I smacked a curb with the GP last Tuesday in the parking lot at work. It bent the subframe, control arm, and destroyed the steering rack. So, I'm officially retiring it. I had a good run with it. We added up all maintenance expenses plus the price of the car itself, and it only costed me $16/month since I've owned it. Not too shabby. And if anyone else watches the races at Kalamazoo Speedway, you might see it in action this summer. It's going to be converted to a race car for the Cyber Stock series. ;D I just picked up my new DD last night. Dale and I drove out to Kiggly's house over on the eastside, and I bought the old family DD. It's a '95 Talon AWD. Should make for a kick-ass DD until I can afford a new truck. Mods: 6-bolt block w/ 2G head FP2 cams Kiggly beehive springs and ti retainers Kiggly crank trigger set-up Kiggly HLA pressure regulator 14b @ 19 psi DSMlink V1 A/T trans is set-up to shift at full line pressure after 3 PSI boost. I plan to install my 3" turboback that I ran on my '99. It's got one rusty strut tower that needs to be repaired. And some basic TLC needed under the hood and in the interior. He also gave me a hatch full of spare parts and other misc goodies. Kiggly and his wife are awesome people overall, and cool to chat with. I'm very happy with this buy.

Ohh, and does anybody have a 2G parts car laying around? I'm going to be looking for a few replacement interior pieces in short time.

I might have some parts. Whatcha looking for? Looking for a complete gray center vent. I also need both door panels. And I'd be interested in a set of gray leather seats for the right price. Also need the cup holder/ash tray portion of the center counsel. The previous owner (before Kiggly) painted a few interior pieces white and black, so I'm just trying to put it back to stock. There's probably many more things, but that's all that comes to mind right now. I'll probably make a list this weekend and post a WTB ad here. What really sucks is that I've parted out two 2g's in the past 3 years and both cars had these parts that I'm looking for... It sucks wanting something that you've once thrown away. Good stuff man! I vote you remove the wing though Completely wingless? If you look closely, there's actually two spoilers on it. I would probably prefer a high-rise Talon spoiler, but at the same time, I really don't want to spend much time and money on body work and cosmetic stuff. I'm not sure which I'd prefer - two spoilers or a hatch full of plugged holes...

Ahh okay just noticed that. I would just take the eclipse wing off and leave the talon. Maybe there's a local sticker/vinyl shop you can get some adhesive vinyl that's similar color as the car to cover the holes. I did this with my Evo (although black is much easier, haha)

Ya, out with the 2gb eclipse wing, and stick with the stocker. But I do like the idea of a 2gb talon wing. I'm kinda partial to them. :-)
Awesome DD, If there was ever a chance in hell I could convince my GF they were half way reliable I would go down that road. lol

Well, I ended up scraping the GP. Scrap's at 250/ton right now, so I got $420. I only paid $550 for the car 5 years ago.

Sorry, no pics. You couldn't really see any damage. It just became completely unsafe and unpredictable beyond 20 mph after the curb smack. Seems like it bent some stuff up in the corner, and damaged the steering rack internally.

Yeah steel prices are through the roof right now. I just bought $482 in square and rectangular tubing and I really thought it would be like $300 for everything.
Nice car, the awd would be nice right about now.

Damn I need to scrap cars or something! I know! I was half tempted to scrap the 1G while I was at it. I know Dale plans to haul 2 of his old Pontiacs to the scrap yard tomorrow while the rates are still high.
