Almost got this car where I want it now. I've been working on it a little bit every week. It now has a 3" turboback, a new exhaust manifold, an Injen intake pipe, new tires, and some new gauges. I'bve also replaced about 2 dozen other little odds and ends. Also, John @ SIM cut out the rusty strut tower and welded in some new steel for me. AWD FTW! With these new tires, I'm REALLY loving this car in the snow. I don't even mind driving on bad roads or driving in bad weather anymore. I should have bought one of these to DD a loooong time ago. Here's some recent pics: I fiberglassed another one of these and bought some new gauges for it: BEFORE: AFTER:

Thanks man. No plans with either spoiler yet. I don't know which one I'd rather have on there. And to be honest, having both doesn't really bother me enough to remove one of the other yet. I might just end up leaving it the way it is.

Now you can tow your DSM with your DSM.

The hitch is great, but it's uses are very limited. It's only rated at 200# tongue weight and 2000# pulling. So, I won't be able to pull any DSMs unfortunately. But that won't stop me from pulling around a utility trailer or anything else small. I'd be affraid to pull more than 1000# with this car. I imagine my rear suspension and torque converter both have a good amount of wear at almost 140K original miles...

It happened on the highway at 75 mph. I'm just praying I don't have holes in the pistons... I'll find out more after I tear it down on Saturday.
What sucks even more is that I just sold my spare rebuild 2G head a few months ago.

Well guys, I got lucky. Pretty much best case senerio. The head and pistons are fine. I just need new valves. I'll probably be putting it all back together next weekend. The pistons have small marks that I'll have to debur, but they're not too bad. And this is how a t-belt looks after failing from being slowly saturated with oil:
