Damn, I forgot all about that BOV. Nice find. I'm curious to hear how it sounds in person - I've never heard a DSM with a Type-R BOV before.

Well.. after just about fucking my car up by washing my engine bay incorrectly (with degreser and a hose.. lol) i finally got it running good again.
And i installed that type R with my new intercooler pipes today. let me just say, its sound sweet. Not nearly as loud as i thought it might be, but its still sweet. it took alot of adjusting to get it just right, and i will still play with it. But ignore all the bull shit thats its a racing only bov and that it cant be streetable, because i have it set quite hard, and it blows off perfect even at 5psi. i need to do a boost leak test, but it seems like its holding 19psi right now. it might be leaking just a touch, but nothing like my old 1g was. and i still have more adjustment to go, in case it is leaking.
MS this weekend, and Cams next weekend. Its going to be a busy next couple weeks.

How is cleaning your engine with water and degreaser the wrong way? I thought as long as you don't spray your valve covers and your alt. your ok.

When you get careless and spray everything. i managed to get water in my cam sensor, and the car was pretty messed up. lucky for me, it dried out. and was running ok the next day. Not thinking, i only covered the filter and just sprayed degreser over the rest of the engine, and then sprayed it down with a hose. and then it started misfiring like a bitch.
if i ever need to do this again, which i do, its still filthy, i will not be doing it the same way. lol

(dont see how it wouldnt) i'm Confused.. are you saying that Greddy is wrong? or are you saying that it was pointless for me to put that bov on my setup? what i was refering to was, on tuners, most the posts you will find say that it cant be used on street setups. and my post was simply to say, that its not true in my case. I'm using one, and its working as intended. either way, its all good. i like it, and its working perfect. and will work even better when i'm boosting 25psi or there about.

Yah, thats kinda what I was thinking. It sounds good I bet, but I heard that the flutter from a Type R is more than just air hitting a closed plate. That blow off valve is nice, just watch for surge I guess.
