I just started a few projects on the green car finally after some time off from it. First, my brother came threw with a nice x-mas gift for the car. Everything needed to make a nice coil on plug setup! He snagged a set of 6 300m coils from ebay for dirt cheap. I really like the design of the coil the way it fires threw a spring right into the plug. Better for spark and way easer plug changes for me. Those Bosch wires I have now are a pain in the ass. Here's what we got so far With that I'm also finishing my cage for a 8-point. My tank ran out so I didn't get it welded up. I still have to do the door bar. Good news is I sent my eprom out to Steve over in Chicago. He's going to be able to save my ecu thank god. So we are still trying to do a speed density with the car. When I do get it back with the coils in I plan on doing some testing with some e-85. Luke can't stop saying that shit removes heat really well and will outperform race gas. We are thinking a healthy meth injection with e-85 would be close enough to not need the intercooler. My 18g setup is going up for sale soon also.

Wow, thats sweet. I really like the coil on plug and the cage. I'm jealous, mines sitting in a garage, cold and dark and disabled. No intake and no more Buschur UICP. Its looking good man, I can't wait to see it in person sometime.

Looks good. Did you make the COP plate? Also, I hope your adding in some sort of CDI box with the COP, if not your in for a world full or more problems.

You have to wire them up in series to get them to work correcty. Something about it cuts peak voltage to prevent overcharge. I also have a Msd dis-2 so I should be fine.

Yes, your gonna be good with the DIS-2. Something about most the cop coils like the 300m coils have a dwell problem. They weren't designed to be fired on the waste spark system like the stock coils and without the help of a dis-2 or so, they fail prematurely.

We made the plate out of 1/4 in plexi. It turned out so far pretty good. It was real easy to cut and tap for threads. I'll probley paint the bottom of the plate and the valve cover a new color. With $50 into it so far I'm happy as hell. Hell some wanted up to 120$ just for the uber aluminum polished plate alone. Just to clean up the plug wires and change my plugs under 45min is good enough for me.

Looks good man. I am excited to see how everything turns out. I think I might follow your lead on the coil on plug system. You really think a healthy shot of meth combined with the e85 will be enough to not need an intercooler?

Damn nice welds. I want me a cage with a moveable arm bar thingy so my fat ass can get in and out easy.

Well I've started a new gauge panel/race dash to clean up all the shit I have mounted around the car. First it just started with the afc and new boost gauge. Then I ended up put everything else in there and it's turning out good so far. I like it because I mounted everthing in my line of sight where I want them. It's far from finished. I'll update when it's closer to being done.

Where's your tach, Angelo? Or do you plan on using your SAFC for an RPM read-out?

Paul, I've always used the afc for my tach. It takes some getting used to reading numbers instead of a sweeping dial, but I think it's more 'dead on" when looking for the number to shift at. I need to mount my stock gas gauge in there but haven't figured out a good way of doing it. I've had no luck finding a gauge to match the sending unit ohms for the dsm tank. T.J reminded me that I could replace the sending unit to match the gauge though. I would like to find a programable fuel gauge that is FULLY programable not just switching from different ohm ranges. T.J pick up the phone. : )

Well here's a update with the car. Well, I finally parted with my 18g setup. That was a fun turbo and a good stint pushing the car hard . I whipped alot of ass with it,v8's and imports. ;D I'm upgrading to a Pte 3561sp in a .63 t3. I'm using a adapter plate to mount up the turbine housing and going with a 3'in v-band discharge flange. The flange is from ATP and at first I was abit worried about it pushing the down pipe too far toward the alternator. I re-used my old down pipe by cutting it off flush with the mitu flange and to my surprise it fit perfectly with just minor clean up of the pipe. Using the v-band machined for 3in tubing allowed me get the perfect angle for good clearance of the alternator and oil filter. I can't get over the one nut down pipe removal. The turbo is a loaner for mock up. Mine is 2 weeks out due to no surge port s covers right now. Retarded
