OK so here's the deal...
2g MAS Evo9 560cc injectors Walbro190 FuelLab AFPR set to ~43.5psi KeyDiver Stage 3 programmed for all those mods
I took her out for a test run and everything ran great! That chip really took care of a lot of issues. But up towards higher rpm I'm still getting ~30 counts of knock. My a/f is set to 11:1 at WOT. Above 6k rpm the knock progresses and gets worse at the rpm go up.
I checked my fuel pressure again at idle and it was 39 psi, so I raised it to 43.5ish and it took care of some of the knock, but it's still there. Any ideas? Should I maybe try to turn it up more? I know it wont make the injectors spray more but the fuel will be more dense going into the cylinder.
and by the way I'm reading the knock with my Palm running MMCD

try 2 gallons of race gas. If the knock goes away, it is real and something that you should really worry about. If the knock stays, I am going to say that you have phantom knock.

I don't know about phantom knock... I can feel it struggling when I see the knock creep up. I run 93 and that's what it's tuned for. One thing I might think it is, is possibly the o-rings or an o-ring on the injectors. I have oil coming out of my cap and it sits on the manifold right behind the injectors. I've tried to get a rag on a screw driver and stick it down there, clean it up and see if it smells like oil or fuel. All I smell is oil, but it looks a bit too clear to be oil.
I'm going to try and do a boost leak test too. I did the dodge BOV mod earlier this week aswell and I'm gonna check if it's holding.

OK, so I'm back to this. Knock, is pretty much annoying the piss outta me. At the ShootOut I ran 2 gal of 110 and 2 gal of 93 and the knock was lowered from 46 counts to 20 counts, which is still not cool. BLT confirmed no leaks. I have new plugs and fuel filter. I lowered boost to 16 psi and at 7k rpm my IDC is 68%... which seems low to me. Anyone else have any ideas? I'll take anything! -edit - and a new alternator which seemed to help everything pull a lot better.

How much boost were you running?

With the race gas it was set at 18ish. Spiked at 20 real quick and then holds at about 17.5. I ran 20 psi with the gas aswell and the numbers were all the same.

hah. I'm not sure what else to do. I'm about to sell my 560s and buy some 650s or something. I mean I'm only at 68% IDC so I know I have more injector. My fuel trims are high but from what I understand that's only for cruising and have nothing to do with WOT. Blah

I really dont think your're getting real knock. My laser does the same thing..actually it shows tons of knock just normal driving, and even during decel fuel cut where there is no gas even being injected lol. I have a brand new knock sensor, torqued properly and everything. I believe it's engine noise, mostly from the valve train(lifters most likely). Some have success with new lifters, some dont. I think the lifter noise is right around the same frequency as knock on these engines. I want to try to find a way to dampen the knock sensor some how, so only moderate to severe "real" knock is detected. I'll figure something out..

Well I have 3G lifters too. And it was severely reduced with higher octane so I'm doubting that it's "phantom knock".

Weld the hole on the knock sensor, works much better.

Something else you can test out to see if you have any major differences in A/F distribution or maybe even an air leak at a certain cylinder/injector flow issue- Crack the throttle open and hold it at like 2k, then take a inferred thermometer and measure each exhaust outlet at close to the head as possible. If you have a cylinder that is running leaner/or hotter than the rest you will see a good difference in temps. All should be pretty close within say 100 degrees or so. This method works great for finding misfiring cylinders too.

I'll have to pull it off and check it out. Gonna have to wait until next week until I can get a hand on a tig machine.
